Or NEXON will fall economically, and they will sell MapleStory to another company that doesn't give us updates and that fails even more than NEXON. Then, the game will die.

The game Maple Story was when i started playing has already ended. But it was reborn into what we play today.

Speaking of which, they'll make tickets that cost like 100 NX for people to use MTS.

MapleStory will end when EA takes over it.

FYI: EA has a rather bad track record when it comes to MMOs. They shut down NFS: Motor City Online, The Sims Online, and a few other MMOs. And I'm not too sure how good Warhammer Online is doing for them right now either.

This is the statement that is without a doubt closest to the truth.

No matter how well or poorly Maple is upgraded through patches, the fact still remains that it was made a few years ago. In video-game terms, a "few years" is a lot. For example, the difference between Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 was a "few years."

Once the next generation of online video games comes out, Maple will diminish, and eventually become what Diablo I and Diablo 2 are now. Some people still play those games, but the vast majority of people would prefer something newer. At the point where that's an issue, Nexon being Nexon, they will probably pull the plug, the moment that maintaining Maple costs them money beyond what they get from it in NX charging. Maple was a very good idea, but its graphics and sound are DATED. For gamers spending big money, that is an issue.

Once theres more people quitting per month than joining, itll end, as for now, MapleStory has another half a decade in it, we have enough upgrades to last us 4 years, with more coming all the freakin time.

I hope they increase the quest count so you can get to 120 at least with minimal grinding =O

As for how it ends? NxProse goes insane and has his Yeti army destroy Nexon headquarters. Nuff said.

I think if a MS2 ever comes out, being updated and all, maybe they'll just leave MS running and not do anymore updates or something? :/ IDK.

Are there any legal implications to an overly-edited pServer made after Nexon goes under? (ie, Fiel makes chinchilla mobs, ect. with his fancy WZ recompiler)

As long as the person running it didn't charge anything, I think they're in the clear.

Who would sue them though? If the company isn't around anymore, what happens to the Copyrights?

Wait, this is America. If Nexon America goes under, the top people will get a 50% pay raise, then invest it all, thus have the money to sue. D:

Nexon does have other games that it can work on besides Maplestory, although Combat Arms needs a lot of work.
