It won't be around forever. So let's speculate on how it'll come to an end!

Chinchillas invade Nexon's HQ, they can't recover from the bad media regarding their security, leading to them losing money, and they go under.

Or the money part anyway.

They'll add in level ups and +1000 gear to the Cash shop for 100K NX.
I can see it now... over 9000 200's all juked out with NX and in the "AnhMaiYeuEm" guild.

They come out with a "switch job" CS item.

Diablo III will come out.

Nexon will get hacked by some freak that creates a mix between a character and some gigantic monster, enabling the hacker to kill every player. Then all the players have to work together to kill it, but they fail since Nexon gave all the power to the noobs, which all die, leaving the smart people who can't take the thing on(everyone that is killed by the monster will recieve a 10 year long ban).

And since no one likes to be banned for no reason and everyone is banned and they're to pissed to make new accounts, the games will not exist anymore. What a happy ending!

The global economy is really tanking right now, so I would assume that Nexon would get swallowed up in the coming financial holocaust along with other businesses.

Maplestory 2 will come out, and not the fake one. Then Maplestory will die.

Nah Maplestory isn't going no where.
It'll just keep getting more and more updated until we can fully interface with it like in .hack-

And what exactly does this have to do with the end of maplestory? Just cuz you don't feel like making a new thread doesn't mean you should bring other pomegranate into threads that have nothing to do with it.

There's the possibility of everything getting out of hand, when it finally sinks into one big monopoly. You know, that's kind of already happening.

The abused, neglected, KS'd (and other similar synonyms) noobs of MS will rise up in a great revolt and kill us all. They'll hack our accounts, steal our mesos, eat our interwebs, and corrupt our MS files.

Think of that next time you go to KS someone just because you can.

Nexon fails and gets own'd by s, Wiings and Sango(Good DDoS Hackers) finally fall to SydneyMS, Wizet moves apart from Nexon and makes a New Awesome game called WizetStory, Wizet hires 1337 hackers to jack up Nexon and hire the best Support Team, GMs and Coders to change the Maplestory History forever..... Muhahahahahahahaha

Someone gets pissed enough at Nexon and sues them for so much money that they go out of business .

Levelling in the game's going to become easier and easier, and more ridiculous equips are going to be released. By the time something new comes around, we'll all be level 200s, doing twice as much damage as we do now.
