The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein (and every other book he wrote)

The White Company by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (love the NC Wyeth illustrations also...definitely one of my top fav artists)

The Silmarillion by JRR Tolkien (Fingolfin is definitely the biggest badass in the Tolkien universe...only time I ever recall going HOLY Pineapple when reading a book)

Hank the Cowdog (series) by John R. Erickson

and uh

Bible by God lol (NRSV, though, of course, the KJV is of huge historical importance. I wouldn't touch a version like The Message with a 20 ft pole...*shudder*...any time I see an excerpt, I lol it's sooooo bad)

And lol @ Candide....forgot all about that one. I Am America (And So Can You), as mentioned previously, was also good. The Alphabet of Manliness deserves a mention if only for having the greatest book cover ever (was really disappointed to find out that each letter wasn't given such an illustration). And a bunch of other notables I can't think of, because it's hard to think when it's almost 4 am, and I still haven't gone to bed.
