I'm a big sucker for the Mitch Rapp series that Vince Flynn writes. I'd put any of those on a favorites list, but I'll limit myself to the very best one.

No particular order:

1. Consent to Kill by Vince Flynn (I still haven't forgiven Flynn for what he did in this book; I cried and raged the whole day)
2. The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien
3. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
4. Angels & Demons by Dan Brown
5. Candide by Voltaire

Deception Point is another excellent novel by Dan Brown, but I'm a sucker for his work, too. I'm a big fan of political thriller/mystery type novels (mainly all I read now), but all the others I've read wouldn't make the top of my list.

Very few novels stand out... I guess I'll toss some nonfiction I read in there.

I'm going to read The Storyteller's Market by Gert Nygårdshaug soon, as I've heard it's pretty good, but well, apart from those, only the above mentioned really stands out.

2. H.P Lovecraft's Book of Horror - Multipul authors (Amazing book featuring the work of people such as Poe, Ralph Adams Cram, and Arthur Machen.)
