We should not care about awards shows because "they rate our games", we should care about awards shows, because they bring us better games to begin with, if that makes sense. I would try to explain it all better, but quoting a previous post:

The new assassins creed was absolute sh`it.

Its obvious you didnt enjoy the game as i did, I only stumbled upon Tower Defense like 5-7 times, and by the time i was finishing chapter 3, i already have 60-70% of the game done (80 or so Animus fragment collected, all dens in my power, most assassins assigned to a den, all stores purchased, some challanges completed, etc)

And the money.

Also did you see Seth Green LIGHT UP when Miyamoto walked out? He was joyous.

I didn't really watch the whole thing. But it just felt weird that Shiggy would even show up for such a joke award show.

I agree with you about The Last of Us being very reminiscent of I Am Legend; and that's a beautiful thing.

I can see that, but whether or not it's true would still leave a true awards ceremony as a good thing, even if only to bring more innovation to the western side of things yea?

You're only forced to do the tower defense game once, if I'm not mistaken. After that, you can actually avoid it by not mucking around while Notorious, or rapidly training up Assassins; I'm pretty sure that you can permanently eliminate the tower defense game in a particular area if your Den in that area has a Master Assassin manning it.
