Lol Sakurai can't balance anything to save his life. The poll regarding MK's ban just finished with 76% of votes in favour of banning the bat. It's something like 20% of all players play MK and they earned 80% of the winnings.

There's also way more glitches and AT in Brawl than Melee. But still, Brawl's an awesome game and the competitive community is still thriving (in my area at least).

Oh, the ban just finished? God, it took them long enough (they've been debating it for like...3 years now).

He's not banned yet, just the public poll that's supposedly playing a part in the BBR-RC's decision.

And despite a majority for banning MK, THE COMMUNITY STILL DOESN'T DO IT.

That's one thing about the brawl community I find stupid. A ton of things in brawl that the community thinks is bad but people are too stubborn change it. No I'm not talking about the melee whiners.

THREE YEARS. And people still actually give the argument against banning MK as "Get better at the game." Lol.

Well the (second) poll just ended a few hours ago, and I'm pretty sure the bat's gonna be gone this time around.

Playing bad players =/= MK is "Bad". MK has EVERYTHING going for him. His kit / moveset is way over the top.

You've clearly never played a half-decent Meta Knight then, lol. Where to begin...?

-Meta Knight has no disadvantageous matchups. At worst, he has a neutral MU with Pikachu, Diddy, and Falco.
-Low ending lag for... everything.
-All of MK's specials act as a recovery. He can also glide.
-Excellent planking and ledge game.
-Quick character
-Very good range and powerful attacks, with some moves like Tornado having transcendent priority. Also, that Shuttle Loop
-The bat is also a part time juggler at the circus :x
-The quick momentum cancelling in his Uair
-Tournament results are... a little sad. 20% of players make up the MK community and win 80% the winnings.

There's more but I can't recall them. At the very least, MK makes for an excellent grab-release-dash-attack-cancelled-up-smash victim for my Sheilda<3.

Where is this poll you're talking about? If it's on AiB, that's not a legit poll. The BBR resides on smashboards and there hasn't been any word about this. Also having majority means nothing considering the first official poll on Smashboards had majority yet nothing went through.

Competitive melee is pretty much an accident that people got way too attached to. Brawl is fun, and that's what matters.

Also, SSB4 is in no way being made yet. All that's been said is from E3, where they said that they want to do a Wii U and 3DS version, but they wouldn't be starting to actually make it till Kid Icarus is out... and that just got delayed to 2012.

Poll got deleted on SWF, but the poll has been there for two weeks or something (can't recall). You can probably find more details in the Unity Ruleset thread.

I saw nothing of the sort other than people talking about "what would the metagame be like without MK." If the poll was "deleted" as you say then the BBR isn't gonna act on banning MK like that. There would DEFINITELY be separate thread for something that big as well as they wouldn't stifle it if a clear majority of the community really wants that.

Um, it's been in the "Featured Topics" box for weeks now, lol. The poll was a locked thread, and you probably already know about the "no talking about MK's legality" rule in effect. Most of the talk about MK has been done in a social group.

Oh. That's probably why I haven't seen it. I use the old SWF skin that doesn't have the "featured" stuff. Oh well. The fact that it was deleted and you still can't talk about the legality of MK on the forums means the BBR won't do anything. But if enough people protest, hopefully MK will get the hammer and suddenly everything won't revolve around him anymore Lol. The match up chart can be remade compared to the old "how does x character do against MK".

You may be surprised (or not) at what the end result is going to be.

There are some heavy pro-MK ban members in the BBR I know Lol.

But the BBR still has to act in clear majority. We can always hope!
