Predict some Magician changes.
#21
hopefully all this "delay" in magician revamp means that they're working hard to give magicians a good revamp rather than just being lazy @.@

They should speed up some of the mages' attacks. they attack much slower than a physical based class would.

And they need to address some of the concern of bishops in party locations like LHC. People want bishops to move around and attack while buffing (as they should be doing, constant support is always good) but as of right now, their damage is so insignificant that it results in maybe 5k-10k more exp per mob, which is essentially nothing. Where other classes get 20-50% per hour (depending on level), bishops of the same level will MAYBE get 10%.

6:4 ratio bro. dem weak bishops get to earn their keep and it won't be from damage.

Advanced Magic Guard : 15% damage to HP, 55% damage to MP, 100% chance to resist dispell.
Buff Mastery now also gives +20% mastery.

New 4th Job fire skill: Incineration. Burns an enemy for 10 minutes, giving it a DoT. The DoT will grow stronger over time, starting with 10%/second, ending at 1000%/second.

Meh, I'll just wait till the next patch to prevent crushed dreams.

That actually sounds pretty legit.

Indeed it does.

I would like to see them change or replace Magic Armor, Seal, Elemental Resistance, Elemental Composition, Big Bang,
Mana Reflection, Ice/Fire Demon, and make Teleport Mastery more unique for each mage class.

The only thing I can really expect is a skill that adds +30 primary and secondary.
Possibly animation changes for Invincible and Composition.

Can't say much else.

Some good ideas @donovan. Don't agree with all of it. Seal shouldn't be removed, it should be made to affect bosses. Like boss magic attack -30% and -50% chance to successfully cast a spell.

Element composition shouldn't be made a mobskill, would be overkill for F/P. Let it stay the boss-skill and give it a much higher castrate and juiced up damage.

Elemental resistance should be made to resist like 30% damage of all abilities of mobs, so basically everything but touch damage. And have a 30% chance to resist a debuff.

Doesn't Threaten affect boss magic attack? If so, Nexon has never been one to have different classes with the same buff/debuff like this.

Yea I like that idea for Seal, but at its current state it needs to go or improve.

Considering how underpowered mages are, not seeing how overkill is bad, the additional DoT it adds is pretty mute, nothing to lose sleep over, so it's not really a bossing skill.

@Fiel Threaten and Disorder?

Magic guard/armor need an animation change as well. =s

It would also be cool if they could figure out a way to allow archmages the ability to have
both elements for a summon.
(I/L can use either a lightning or ice summon; F/P can use either a poison or fire summon).

Both could summon a basic 'skeleton/neutral' figure and then use a skill that would change it to
a elemental being.

Always wanted to see what a lightning/poison version of elquines/ifrit would look like.

Magic Armor doesn't need a new animation. >>
It's so fun.

Magic Guard yes, but I was basing the prediction off the extractions with new icons. (I'm not sure what happened with those, but yeah.)

Storm atronarch does sound like a fun summon though.

Disorder is only weapon attack.

I'm hoping for a lot of changes, and they will probably get them. It's pure autism to think that the set of classes often considered the weakest would only receive some % changes and animation changes.

What I'm really hopeful for is that they scrap HS, change the party formula so it would be like it's always on, and then give bishops a party skill that's just as good, but not always needed. Never going to happen though. I do think they'll address HS mules in some way though.

This.

+30 INT & LUK skill in 2nd job seems expected.

Bless: Hoping they change this into +% boost and/or make it stack with other buffs. It gets pretty annoying sometimes when it cancels your buffs (rage, iron will, dblood, energizer, or worse... onyx apple).

Meteor/Blizzard/Genesis/Dark Fog: Add passive bonuses like how Battle Mage's Dark Genesis gives Dark Shock +60% damage (1000%->1600%). At least it'll be more worthwhile adding points into earlier than just a plain AoE.

Holy Shield: Make this protect the party from stun, seduce, zombify, disorient, AND POSSIBLY Dispel as well, not just the ones Dispel in 3rd job can handle.
