God Eater Burst general discussion

Ohh, I see. Actually, I don't mind the floating attack. It gives me open opportunities to f`uck him up in the face before he starts shooting fire tornados at me. I just shield, like I said. It's really obvious when he does too, haha. But yeah, once you're used to fighting Hannibal, the last boss won't be too hard. I got used to fighting Hannibals after about 3-4 battles with it. So far, the only monsters in the game that I have a problem against:

a) Chi-You types
b) Borg Camlamn (sp?)

I hate both of them so much. For some Chi-You variations, I'm always unsure on where to hit. But I usually aim for the wings, fist, chest, and head. For the scorpion, it differs, and I usually break the tail as fast as I can, then I go for the legs or shield right after.

I'm fine with Chi-You and Fallen Chi-You, but I really hate Sekhmet because its Head is so hard to break (and it hurts a lot). :/

Haven't tried fighting Hera yet. Anyways, I just figured out yesterday that Freeze HDH works wonders on Sekhmet's Head so I guess that's what I'll be using.

Borg Camlann...the normal one's fine, but the Fallen ones are just wtp. They keep nailing me whenever I'm popping a Restore Pill...or maybe it's just my luck.

Aww yeah! Hit Rank 9 and cleared the Vajra + Hannibal Mission (first mission of Rank 9). Plus, I broke all of Hannibal's breakable parts! XD

Now to repeat that feat on Rank 8 for Serpent Horns so I can get that awesome-looking Serpent Dagger.

Oh yeah, and I finally figured out how to kill Arda Nova easily. Just get behind the Male half and wail on it whenever it start doing anything to deal Orange/White damage to it. Once it falls, taking out the Female half is a breeze. I was actually worried I wouldn't be able to break the Female Half's legs in time. XD

Come to think of it, I need 8 more Emperor Fangs to upgrade both my Wild Swords. Ugh.

As for me, I'm just farming materials right now. Trying to get:

Aragami Crystal 1 x 3
Royal Ice Wing x 6
Royal Ice Armor x 5
Conqueror Armor x 14
Anathema Raiment x 7

I only need about 1 more Royal Ice Armor, and 4 more Conqueror Armor pieces, and I'm done. Once I'm done, I can forge the F-type Pistol FrzDvn gun. Stats?

Crush: x 0.50
Pierce: x 4.00
Blaze: x 1.00
Freeze: x 5.60
Spark: x 1.00
Divine: x 4.00

Once I get this, I'm going to start going Sehkmet hunting for materials, so I can upgrade my Wild Sword to max. I only need one more upgrade until it's complete.

I decided to give it a try and fight Venus too, she's one of the DLC Aragami you get upon pre-ordering the game with the redeemed code. Anyways, she is hard.. as f`uck. The hardest thing I've encountered in this game so far, even my 2nd time fighting Corrosive Hannibal wasn't that bad. Both Hannibal forms was hard at first, but I started figuring out their patterns. Venus? Yes and no. When Venus does that electric charge (multiple times), she stops, then her ass shoots out waterballs in multiple directions.

I hope they'll release it as free DLC; I don't care how late they release it, so long as they release it.

Oh, forgot you're in Singapore. :x But yeah, the DLC Aragamis are supposed to be a true challenge, and they are. I'm not going to lie, I didn't know when Venus was going to die, felt like foreeeeveeeerrrrrrrr. Then I noticed that when she tried to attack, there's that "blood" animation where she spews blood from her body and falls down, so I knew she was weak at that point. With no potions left over, I decided to play it safe the entire match and spam bullets from far away, then when I got close, do a couple slashes, then guard.

Caligula (sp?) is supposed to be hard too, and he's the Ice version of a Corrosive Hannibal.

What the hell? Screw D3; they gave out the Venus and Caligula DLC last Friday as a Facebook event. They gave out 2 codes, with another 2 some time earlier.

Bloody hell. Why the hell did they put it on PSN JP for free, but force the thousands upon thousands of non-Japanese players to clamber for 4 measly codes?! It DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.

Lest anyone think I'm just jealous I didn't get the codes, I would still say this even if I did get them. Besides, this event is open to abuse; look at the first guy on the Facebook page: "Nicolae Vasile Geoghegan - Got both". I know he was joking, but this brings up a very important problem; it is simply open to abuse.

p.s. By the way, does anyone have an extra Pre-order code? :x

Oh, finally maxed out my Wild Swd: Laoyang. At the end, you can switch it to it's "N" form (purple version, same stats, etc). So it's just for looks, but you can also revert it too, etc. 300 Sunder damage, forget the rest of the stats, but it has Hold (L). It has a high chance of immobilizing the enemy, and you'll see an effect similar to MH's Shock Trap effect, except this is more Aragami-ish (black & yellow). I can down a Rank 8 Hannibal in less than 5 minutes now, with my current gear. His gauntlet isn't too hard to break now too, now that I know what I'm doing. Just focus all attacks on it. Literally.

Come to think of it, my copy has this sticker on the front cover. It reads:

Funny thing is, there is no PSN code inside the box.

Could the DLC have been included in the UMD...? Nah, who the heck am I kidding?

With how I think they might end up doing this is releasing the DLCs at a later time on the PSN for a price, or for free. Just wait a month or two, and we'll see. This is the type of game that I'd expect more DLC contents over time. MHFU had a thing where you could download missions if you connected online.

Oh my God. Next mission's up against Corrosive.

I guess I should go material farming to upgrade my Freezing Knife II and Repellant Buckler+ first...

Pro-tip, you can use Divine and Ice. Pick whichever that you have that's the strongest, I don't think one is more efficient than the other, etc. I used the maxed out version of the Laoyang (Hold L) and f`ucked him up. When my OP gauge was full, I spammed Delta Cross Ice (LAAAAZZZZZZAAAAAAAHZZZZ) and they were all effective shots.

He's really easy, once you get the hang of how he attacks. It's the exact same as Hannibal.

Defeated Caligula easily last night, killed 4 of them in about 40 minutes. 1 per every 10 mins. I've done most of the downloaded quests, but the challenge missions are hard, because they're seriously timed (lol @ kill 8 Cocoon Maidens in 30 secs wt`f fml)

oh, didn't know he was weak to Spark too, huh. You can farm Imperial Fangs and downgrade to Emperor Fangs, I think. I forgot what I did, but I managed to get a couple fangs from that one Sariel & Dyaus mission.

Nope. This one is different, though I did the other one too. This one is just impossible for me, 30 seconds to kill 8 cocoons, and their attacks are really annoying to dodge. Best to use automatic homing shots and spam-shoot til your OP runs out, then dash in and start slashing? Meh.

I didn't do the one with Gboro-Gboros yet.

Agreed. The "Kill 30 Cocoon Maidens" mission (around Rank 7/8 I think?) was bloody annoying because of all the stray bullets flying all over.

Oh yeah, I've upgraded my Freezing Knife II to Freezing Knife X...only to find out I've unlocked the list of materials required for Freezing Knife EX...which requires parts from Tsukuyomi. ARGHHHHHHHHHHH

Try battling against both of them, and let me know how you fair. I'm sure Venus is a lot harder in comparison to Caligula. I can down a Caligula in about 7-8 mins per round on AVERAGE. But when it comes to Venus, it takes me a lot longer than that . .

I'll try clearing some of the regular missions first; I skipped quite a few Rank 8, 9 and 10 Missions. >.>

Anyway, I managed to clear the story. I don't know why, but Ren was considerately more useful during the Corrosive fights than against Susanoo and Ouroboros. God. It was like a damn 1v1 against Susanoo; THE THING JUST WOULDN'T DIEEEEEE!!!!!

Oh well, Corrosive was fairly easy I guess. It was even easier the second time round, since a certain someone was so much more useful than Ren. XD

But...hmm. It really was the first time I've ever seen Rindou die. Twice, too. x.X Had to toss a Stun Grenade so I could dash over to Rindou to Link-Aid him. :x

They literally made that quest impossible to beat the two Hannibals, they do too much damage with a single hit (LOL HALF OF MY F`UCKING HP BAR WHEN I MAXED IT OUT). They weren't even enraged, that was the sad thing.

But yeah, I think I died once or twice against Venus. I haven't gotten killled by Corrosive Hannibal once, but I had to memorized Hannibal's patterns before moving onto Corrosive.

Lol. You're not supposed to fight them. Avoid the Hannibal and Corrosive and just hit the Maidens as much as you can. I think Snare Traps might help. ._.

I got incapped by Corrosive like, 5 times. But that was because I was focusing on breaking its parts, and was fully relying on blocking (and Prepared) to keep me alive. I was literally fighting Corrosive with 1 HP at all times. :x
