Sorry, making this one since I don't want to derail from my previous thread (not that it's updated anymore). Just wondering how far some of you guys are at in this game. I know Rob got it, and I know Hanabira.Kage purchased it too.

Eww. You're way beyond where I currently am. Sad

Oh well. I was working on clearing the regular missions and farming stuff... Lol.

Code Name - Class - Story
HAZUKI - Scout Sergeant - 36

Equipment:

Tuned Railgun II [Sniper]
Wild Sword: Yang X [Short Sword]

(I only use this in Missions with stuff of varying elemental resistances)
Repellant Buckler [Buckler]
Assassin
Nightmare Goth (Top + Skirt)

Other Swords I regularly use:
Fiery Knife II
Chill Knife
Railknife
Wild Sword: Yin once I upgrade it to Laoyin P and beyond.

(Used to use Gem Sword: Xi Shi regularly against Vajra, then I switched to Wild Sword Yang instead.)

Skills:

Overall Attack Up
[B] Super Mute
Divine Exposure Down
Hold S
Expand Guard Area
Combo Master
Prepared
Stamina Recovery Up
Muted

Total Play Time: [B]40:33:19

p.s. Didn't post my upgrades or their skills because I change them based on the Mission. For example, Stun Guard and Spark Guard when up against Spark Aragami.

I think I'm near Story 57 or something now, not too sure. But I won't spoil anything. Right now, I've upgraded my Ensemble [shield], and waiting until I have access to a better Divine gun. Probably going to kill more Novas over and over until I can get the Divine-version of it's gun, and then use that as my primary gun to shoot Divine from now on.

I really liked the Tosca, until I discovered a better one. Dx

I haven't touched Burst yet, but I'm at Rank 7 and 80+ hours in, in the original God Eater obv.

I main all types of swords, mainly the God Cutter Claymore (whatever the translation is) the Dark Saw (nikogiri or whatever), the Chi-You SS, all the SS Knives and all the elemental LSes. I know I probably didn't get further in because I spent too much time hogging materials and whatnot ;_;

I have EVERY weapon branch upgraded up to at least rank 4 >_>

Just beat Arda Nova. Phew. Pretty exhilarating fight (not to mention all those pretty laser shows Arda Nova provides. XD), if you ask me.

I broke the Halo, Hair and Legs, then the God part died before I could break it. Speaking of which, the God part has insane defense and can apparently only be significantly damaged when it's been knocked down or when it's attacking...though I think its defense weakens when it's enraged (not certain).

I still need my damn Silver to upgrade my Gem Sword. Sad

Oh, what kind of appearance do you guys have for your character?

With the 'blue eyes' face for females (think it's the very default one, maybe not, idk), I also have:

Hair Style: 19
Hair Color: 4
Top: Ouin High Uniform
Bottom: Ouin High Uniform

Her blonde hair and the light blue uniform REALLY matches. I love this set, and it's hard for me to even switch around to anything else. School-girl and all, teehee. So cute. I'm also now on Story 62 [Assault Corporal], on Difficulty 9. Just beat Amaterasu yesterday, and my quest to unlock Difficulty 9, I should say.. would be "Dragon-Tiger Fang" (kill Vajra & Hannibal).

Still haven't done that yet. Giving GEB a break, cause I needa catch up on some school stuff..

------

Also, Nova isn't too hard now. Even on difficulty 8 or so, she's really easy imo. I usually bring Divine gears, because that's my strongest element gear in comparison to everything else. I just do a short-hopped jump, tap square to do 2 horizontal slashes, another hop sideways (with the Mid-Air Jump ability), and then tap square again to do 2 more horizontal slashes, and end it by tapping triangle. The entire time, aiming at her halo. It's the best way to kill her. :x Now, if I had constant OP, I'd be running around shooting lasers at her. Either way works. She's so easy once you figure out her weak spot and how to move around her. Whenever the bigger Nova 'throws' Arda Nova forward, he's going to be going one of two things:

a) Rush in and tackle right after he throws her
b) Fly up and shoot small laser balls

In situation (a), I'd just do nothing, stay far away and shoot like mad. If it's (b), I wait til he finishes firing off 3 balls. Once he's done doing that, I rush over to the Arda Nova, and devour for a Full Burst. I usually get Full Bursts all the time on Arda Nova, since I know when she's going to stop and do.. literally nothing.

For me...

Gender: Female
Face: 16 (Blue eyes with a "cute" look. Perhaps it's the same as yours)
Skin: 1
Voice: 11 (Yggdra from Yggdra Union. Lol.)

Beginning
Hair Style: 16
Hair Color: 7 (White)

After Clearing Rank 6
Hair Style: 19
Hair Color: 7

On a side note, I started off wearing the Casual Top: Black and Formal Bottom: Black. I switched to the Nightmare Goth set after becoming Leader. I then switched to Poppy Plaid Shirt and Amagahara Uniform (Bottom) after clearing Rank 6.

As you can see, I like changing my character's appearance after major events. XD

I change my character's appearance after every 4-5 missions or so, this doesn't have to include Story missions. Sometimes, I just mess around and see which look I like the most. I'd assume I would like seeing my character in a bikini, but it didn't scream "cute" to me.

Haha. I just went "wtp?!" when I unlocked the bikinis. >.>

Yeah, you also unlock the red bikini with white flowers designs on it after you fight Amaterasu too. I'm at story 62, iirc. I'm now fighting Tsukuyomi. Difficulty 10 now.

Just checked, I'm actually on Story 68, Difficulty 10. I thought I was on 62, for some reason. Oh well.

I just cleared Story 50. A little afraid of Hannibal (he pops up the next story mission), so I'm just clearing up some of the old Free missions. Just killed Susanoo...he just feels a little slower than the Fallen Borg Camlanns; I don't know why. I managed to block pretty much all his attacks (got blindsided a few times while dealing with the Zygotes though), while I can't do the same for the Spark Fallen Borg Camlann. ._.

Susanoo is slower, lol. I guess you noticed it too. Hannibal isn't too bad, but he's definitely a potion burner. Really hard to not get hit unless you guard after 2-3 slashes constantly.

Ugh. Got incapped 3 times trying to break his arm. Sad

Well, I broke his scale and... >.>

Okay so now I know, never break his damn scale till I've broken everything I want to break...I ended up only breaking the scale and nothing else. Frown

Aim for his face or legs.

Face
Gauntlet / Shield thing
Scale

Those are breakable. Fighting him is a bit rough, and his "Corrosive" form is a lot stronger, which you won't get to until later on in the game. I basically solo'd against Corrosive Hannibal last night, because a certain character wasn't being very helpful . . . He ate up all of my potions. I only had O-Vials, Health Boosters, and Stamina Boosters left whenever I was done. I don't use traps or stun grenades either, unless I'm up against a really big monster . . .

If you want a tip, here's what I do, even though I use a Longsword. You can do this better if you have step-cancel guard. Basically, whenever he's on ground and NOT attacking (roaring animation, etc), go towards him, do about 4 slashes if you're using a short-sword , OR 2 slashes if you're using long-sword. Then immediately shield, because he can either pull out a javelin, OR he'll just try to claw you.

Whenever he does a really long roaring animation, he's going to "float up", that's when you can either:
a) Slash 2-3 times, and then do a quick devour -> Shield
b) Slash 4-5 times -> Shield

He's completely vulnerable before he floats, and when he does, he shoots those flaming tornados at you. DO. NOT. ATTACK. OR. ROLL. Just stay stationary and shield. Count from 1 to 3 seconds, and the animation should be done, rush back in at him, and I think he should do another roaring animation. At this point, charge for a full-burst, then immediately BLOCK.

Rinse and repeat.

I'm more close-range, personally. But I know people that prefers long-range more. I do use guns, but only if I have OP. Most of the time, I'm slashing his face.

I know. That's what I do. The problem is, Soma and Sakuya always end up breaking the Scale before his Hand or Head breaks. =.=

Oh, you can break the scale before that. I don't think breaking the scale affects anything, but I'm not too positive on that . . . I usually aim for the scale first too, because that's the easiest to break, and I do like my unbound rewards~

Downed the final boss today, the "true" final boss anyways. Time limit = 40, downed it in about 10. I won't spoil anything for you guys, of course. Instead of using longswords, I'm officially switching over to shortswords now, because I feel as if I'm doing more damage, as while as being more versatile with how I hit, jump, and guard. I didn't even use a powerful shortsword, but I've been practicing around with one so much that I practically guarded all of the impact from the final boss. He hit me a couple of times, but I didn't burn as many potions as I had thought.

I'm about to see the ending credits for the game, so.. yeah. It was also great to hear my character "speak", it was f`ucking amazing. I switched my hair color over to a light pinkish color, but still the same hair style. She wears a really light sky blue color school uniform too, so it goes well with her hair color.

Light pink & light blue. I'm going to try getting better gear from this point on, I feel as if I've done a lot within near.. 70 hours of playing. Going to try fighting the two "DLC" bosses eventually. Hopefully, a solo.

Breaking the Scale allows it to do the "floating" attack. Besides, the spot with the Scale takes maximum damage on every hit so it will chip off a lot more of Hannibal's HP than when you hit any other part...therefore he'll live much longer if you leave the Scale till last.

Ohh, I see. Actually, I don't mind the floating attack. It gives me open opportunities to f`uck him up in the face before he starts shooting fire tornados at me. I just shield, like I said. It's really obvious when he does too, haha. But yeah, once you're used to fighting Hannibal, the last boss won't be too hard. I got used to fighting Hannibals after about 3-4 battles with it. So far, the only monsters in the game that I have a problem against:

a) Chi-You types
b) Borg Camlamn (sp?)

I hate both of them so much. For some Chi-You variations, I'm always unsure on where to hit. But I usually aim for the wings, fist, chest, and head. For the scorpion, it differs, and I usually break the tail as fast as I can, then I go for the legs or shield right after.
