3DS Screens

Um, yeah. Not getting one of these for a long time, if ever. I've lived with my launch DS for this long, I don't think I need this one either.

But it's three-dimensional! :o

Ocarina of Time is more than enough reason for me to get one. xd

I'm also interested in Kid Icarus, but I have no idea what else there is for the 3DS that I'm interested in yet.

If anything, I'd eventually get it for the KH game. haha. I also need to get a PSP for the same reason.

Not sure how I feel about the graphics. Everyone thinks that the 3DS is such a powerful system, but even while being a Sony hater I can say with confidence that successor to the PSP will probably blow the 3DS' graphics away.

I was so hyped up for the 3DS, but this has convinced me to wait until Gen 2.

The prices are OK! Nintendogs+Cats is at normal japanese price...

Also worth noting is the pricing of these titles. Nintendogs has been set at 4800 yen (about $57) while other titles range from 5-6000 yen ($60 to $72). In Japan, a 4800 yen price point is common for DS software.

I was so hyped up for the 3DS, but this has convinced me to wait until Gen 2.

Ouch, you'll only get the maximum battery life if you play an old DS game? That's kinda disappoint. Seems like the system isn't exactly the best thing to have when in the car for long periods of time.
Course I'm in no rush to get the 3DS.

I think I like the original OoT graphics better. Nonetheless, I can't fucking wait. L> March to get here sooner.

I have to agree. The nostalgic feel is hurt by the new-age, bright graphics.

Biggest problem sony faces is the fact they dropped UMD support for the PSP2 so basically unless you have a near limitless access to fast wireless online, you're screwed.

But APPARENTLY it's suppose to rival the 360 in horsepower (doubt it, but hey who knows...)

OT: I'm more interested in the 3d not for it's visuals (TBH the fact I'm already wearing glasses has "trained" me to hate 3d... they never stack well) but what they're gonna do with it?

Possible interaction with the 3d projection is what I'm hoping to see... otherwise it's nothing more then a cheap parlor trick IMO -_-

Technically.
Obviously it won't have the same horsepower, it would have the "same" graphics because the screen is smaller.

Anyway, battery life isn't too much of an issue for me. If anything, I'll do what I do with my laptop, which is keeping it plugged in all of the time.

Regarding the battery life: it sucks, but 3-5 hours is still long enough to play it on any trip I'd go on, and I mostly play my DS at home anyway.

Definitely not going to get one of these at launch now. Launch titles don't seem that great, battery life sucks, prices suck, no red. And i don't want to go through all the trouble of actually trying to find one on launch.

ITT: We all complain about the 3DS.

Not that anything's wrong with that. Hoping that the new PSP will definitely be better in terms of pricing and selection.

Do remember that "launch" only means day 1. There are a good number of games planned for a spring release.

That being said, I do agree that the launch titles could be better...
