The accuracy thing is hit or miss. I kind of like it for this 1 reason: Lower leveled noobs can't crowd/hog maps that are multiple levels above them. Not every class has insane accuracy, and I would be pretty pissed if a specific map that is good exp for me, was overly crowded just because low levels are able to hit them. People are starting to spread out finally, and it makes me happy to see. (aside from the mansion thing, which i didnt even bother visiting. I figured the exp you earn from getting ks'd or trying to protect your map is probably the same or worse than an empty map around your level with good spawn)
I found that HS mules are godly, with the lack of leech exp. In fact, it seems the more people in my party just standing around leeching, the better exp i get for my kills while using HS. I currently drag my HS mule everywhere when training.
I do wish they would fix some stupid stuff, though. Having to CC more than once to change channels is becoming the most annoying bug in the game.

Accuracy sucks and exp should be around x1.5 of what is actually is now. I guess training will be better when they release LHC though.

Or just camp bosses with rush mules killing everyone trying to kill it. That leads to no more drama with ksing and police.
Removing ultimates also did fine part. Now everyone has very similar training speed and maybe lvl200 will become achievement once more.
Removing of 2x goes in there too.
Well if you ask me cubing should be removed too so people would be runing around with 3% (few lucky ones with 6%) items and you wouldnt see super overpowerd people with too much money around.
There are other ways for nexon to get money.
They need to fix lots of glitches still (cs, ht, w7...)
your comment hurted me marko i still lob u tho <3
OT: I never thought maple would become boring till the point where i dont want to log anymore lol

We need more quests that give good exp, and quest chains like kerning square and Mush king. More exp from monsters, and the shet accuracy formula needs to go.
I'm happy I finally got to a level past 53( I'm 80 now) but now it's getting kind of dull just pqing and grinding all the time. I'm an avid quester, an rpg without quests to drive you to the next level isn't a good rpg for me. ;(
Maybe grinding wouldn't suck if the accuracy formula wasn't pomegranate now.

Even that I find it unfair that due to the new accuracy system archers got ripped from what it represent us the most, I have to say that I don't really dislike the new accuracy as most seem to, yeah they should at least fix it for bosses because one of the main challenge of bosses is them being higher level, but the challenge dissapear when you can't just hit them enough times, but in general training is not that big of a deal, maybe its due to I not caring enough for a fast paced leveling or that I have always preferred classes with mob skills (but now almost everyone has at least one good mob skill at 3rd job) but I don't see the point of going to a monster a few (or a bunch) levels above you and more since now the change of training speed from map to map doesn't change much, tried myself with 4 different monster, with different map layout and different levels ranging from some levels below me, to few level below, same level and a few level above and the change was at the most of ~3% per hour, so I don't really see the point of hitting monster higher level than you when the only noticeable difference is the amount of potions you have to spend or whatever item they drop.

My thoughts on training(Now all of these thoughts are at the best places usually by myself because I just ks a map and I usually have a hs mule) in low lvs is up until maybe 10x its about the same as 4x leech without having to worry about I HAVE to have 8 buffs and a 2x card to train ect ect. But after that it just feels like what now? I haven't gone to zak or pap since patch so that may speed up the process of lving in 12x. But what I hate most is at lv 9x my bmage with very minimal funding on a brand new acct so no BoF is still just destroying everything in 1-2 hits. And you cant go to a higher lv place because I already train where I miss 20% the time and anymore I just feel like it is a waste of time. I missed when you would get acc gear and go to a place 30 or so levels above you to train.
My thoughts on class balancing as far as mages go. I never choose my am because it was the fastest lver or strongest I choose it because I love every skill of the class. Mages IMHO are the cheapest source of dmg there is. All you need is clean or rare eguips you found and you do decent dmg. After that I believe the funding can be better spent into an attacking class if that is what you're into. But if you love your class nothing like not being the best bosser or training at untold speeds should stop you from playing it.

Horrible. It's nice leveling fast but at what cost? Getting to 4th is meaningless now since grinding is so easy a level an hour at 9X and 2 hours a level at 100-120. Bullshit. Then leveling past 130 is impossibly hard due to the grind. 1-2% an hour. Ugh. I hate seeing noobs everywhere leveling up fast. it sickens me. 4th job should be something that should not be obtainable by everyone. AN accomplishment. It's like why bother coming to GMS now? A private server low rate is smaller but friendlier and better now apparently.

NOW? Dunno where you've been for the past year or two, but 4th job has been meaningless since the introduction of LEECH. Hell, since when have levels ever mattered in this game anyways?
Also, it must just be me, but I'm enjoying the new EXP curve. I'm getting more EXP / % per hour than I was pre-BB, and I can actually boss train on decent bosses now, because that's all everyone did, which left me with a 0% shot at bossing for decent / good EXP.

A private server low rate is smaller but friendlier and better now apparently. What? My friends who are currently leveling their BaM can level in less than 5 hours at level 14x. How is that 1-2% an hour? I agree that leveling is way too easy for 1-100, but it has always been like that. The only difference is that this time you can't leech your way through those lvls...And the bosses are also way too easy. It was nice when you needed 20-30 people for HT and now people can just solo or duo it fast enough, the potential system..., but oh well.
I don't like the accuracy formula, but I find it so much better than the old formula where you could leech zak with any class at lvl 50 and lvl to 70. Or leech BF. The acc formula will be a bit better in Chaos anyways. About the training, something I like about it is that there are many maps that are really good for training now. I don't understand why 90% of the people decide to train at Jesters when there are so many training possibilities such as Omega Sector, Ariant, Magatia. Some of these maps are even good for party training. We still need more training places for 110-120 though. There is too much difference between training at MP3/Pirates and the Ludi maps although some of these maps are actually decent for +120.
Oh, I also don't like the family system change. I can forgive them for changing 2x to 1.2x, but why would they remove the party buffs? :/

Even i get more than 4% an hour NORMALLY TRAINING at 163, so w'tf are you doing to get 1-2% on a 13x character? Considering i never normally train, if i train on bosses i get 6.5%/hr and i'm still really weak.
A private server is nothing but MORE OF WHAT I'VE HAD FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS. Nothing in a private server could ever interest me unless it was post-BB.

I like Big Bang alot, it gives people a chance to hit 120 without needing alot of mesos or a good connection with leech. People say it isn't an accomplishment to hit 120 now but I disagree with that because it takes time and effort. The only people I see complaining about this are hardcore players that play 24/7 or people who only care about ranks. Who gives a crap about ranks and playing Maplestory all day? Sadly too many people.
Anyways Maplestory is a lot funner now for me. I actually enjoy the accuracy system and it is weird to watch videos of pre-BB and people hitting these high level monsters that they can't now & if I had the choice to remove it or not I would never, it also removes leech which I had no use for so that's a plus I guess.
& i'd say you can't even compare Maplestory BB to a private server cause that's just.. wrong ):

Before that though, I was getting extremely bored, no bossing/VPQ runs to look forward to anymore, just grindgrindgrind. s: I think if I get my emails and such by the time LHC is released, I'll be interested in the game again.

The Big Bang advertised it self as many things that it wasnt. I think the best way to go over it is to look at the old Big Bang poll they had.
The first option was faster leveling, and it looked like they would give it to us based on the fact that the experience curve was reduced by about 80% at earlier levels and nearly 40% at later levels. Notmally this would mean 5x the speed at earlier levels and just under 2.5x speed at higher levels. Too bad they neglected to advertise that they nerfed the family system (2x>1.2x, and it only lasts 45min per day rather than 1.5 hours), removed 2x exp cards (2x>1x) and even halved the exp reward of most monsters (clearly this halves the speed). Just as a rough estimate for high levels, this would leave out rate at: 2.5x * 1.2x/2x / 2x / 2x = .375x or 2.667 times slower... not counting the decreased duration of the family buffs.
And I havent even gotten into the fact that bosses, something people commonly trained on, where nerfed. HH, BF, Royal Guard, etc. where all decent monsters to train on for exp before the big bang. Now they are worthless. We still have Anego and Kacchuu Musha, but they are rather difficult to find these days and still nerfed.
Now we have Job Skill Balancing. Which, whether it be intentional or a glitch, was a complete failure. For one, Evans and Arans were practically ignored in the rebalancing and they got the short end of the stick. Then we have the issues with mages. They are still bottom tier, attack slowly, and their mobbing abilities are all nerfed (CL is down to 3 targets, poison attacks are no longer garrenteed to reduce hp to about 1 and is useless in training thanks to the acc formula, etc. but Bishops did get a slight increase with AR attacking 3 targets), and to add insult to injury DoT is glitched and Elemental Weapons are nerfed.
Then we have the issues with resistance. Nexon knows these guys are broken and the instructors even insult other classes (the WH instructor Belle specifically calls other Archers pansies). You just know something is wrong when Nexon programs the instuctors to belittle other classes and explain how the resistance classes are better. First, the WH's seem to do everything a BM can do except they do it better. They are faster (up to 190% speed, have a FJ like skill and attack while moving), Stronger (slightly higher % per min and a better damage multiplier), and they even get a flashy ultimate. Asside from looks or loyalty to another archer class, there is no reason to be a BM anymore. For BaM's, they are basically like a new Aran, but its hard to say that they are broken untill you start factoring in weapons non-existant in KMS. When you factor in Elemental Staves Battle Mages get a 33% DPM bonus (and nexon said the 25%/10% elemental bonus was broken, those hypocritical pimentos), and if you just change the Slow 8 staff in Dusk's tables to a Fast 4 one (change nothing else) the Battle Mage will rival Warriors in DPM with the Warriors all using 1v1 skills and iirc the Battle Mage will be using a mobbing skill.
Speaking of Dusk's tables, his show Battle Mages rivaling Corsairs. If WH's are that powerful, then I wonder just how broken the Mechanic will be...
Efficient Leveling by Questing is next. Where many quests made more efficient? It looks like it, but are they efficient? Not at all. Its simply not worth your time to travel between town and other areas killing monsters and collecting drops for experience alone. You'll get far more exp just staying on one good map and killing. The only quests that are worthwhile are the ones that give you items (that are worth your time obviously) or ones that unlock new maps.
More Explorer Content.... Did you see anymore explorer content added?
Faster travel was also on that poll, and the big bang delivered a little on that promise but at the same time made some travel worse. Examples of shorter travel include most areas in victoria, the maps in El Nath, etc. However, travel between other areas has been legthened. You now have to travel between more maps to get from Ellinia to Leafre, Mushroom Castle and Florina Beach, etc. Still most maps are unaffected. Its just annoying that travel between victoria and leafre takes longer now.
More PQ varieties... they removed the Colleseum, LMPQ, and VPQ, and the only increase in variety was allowing KoC, Legends, and DB's into CWK PQ. I call Bullpomegranate on this point.
Decreased penalty for dying... did anyone notice a change here? I did not.
Then finally, there is the selectable game resolution. They actually kept this promise. Too bad many graphical glitches are occuring on many maps on this resolution.
Overall, I'd say the entire Big Bang was misrepresented, and many of us were more than disapointed over the entire thing.

Vic to leafre might be a tad longer, but vic -> orbis is significantly shorter. It used to take at LEAST 10 minutes going through ereve, but if you go through edelstein it takes at least 8. Also, i find travel far faster in vic in general. At 6 path crossway you just have to go through 1 portal and use a return scroll and boom you're in town.

Getting rid of the max level req for most of the PQs was supposed to be increasing the variety, but everyone knows that's BS. Anyone over the required level really has no reason to do the PQs now available to them except for the PQ medal.

In my opinon, Maple has been going downhill ever since the Potential System. Big Bang seemed kind of cool at first but now it just seems to have taken all challenge out of the game. Bosses like Anego, BGA, BGB, Grandpa Boss, Samurai, Royal Guard S and Bigfoot among other similar bosses where the only challenge was keeping them KB'd due to their high damage are now a joke. The only good part of this change is that greedy players can't monopolize them anymore because there are so many players killing them and leech sucks now anyway. The EXP change is nice, but it's just 1 step forward and 2 steps back because even though the EXP required to level is lower, the higher level monsters EXP was decreased some, family 2x Buff was lowered to 1.2x and 2x EXP cards were removed from the Cash Shop. As a result of this, lower levels such as 1-130 (and incidentally the largest portion of nexon's player base) are much easier and faster to level now but the higher levels are even harder to level at due to the lack of 4x EXP and ultimates.
When KMS received this patch, all you would hear about was how great Big Bang was and how it was going to fix several problems we have been having such as DC hacks and boss glitches. Both of these problems are still here and just as bad as ever. It's funny, someone a couple posts up mentioned how you can't really compare the Big Bang patch with private servers, but if you think about it that seems to be exactly what Nexon is trying to achieve with these recent updates. Take night lord's for example, last summer the strongest Night Lord in our server was hitting maybe 80k per star, now you see videos of players hitting 350k per star without apple, players are killing Horntail and Chaos Zakum solo on a daily basis for profit. I hate to imagine what maple will be like next summer. I for one happened to like having to get a large group to kill bosses such as Horntail. It made bossing more fun and it seemed like more of an achievement when you killed the boss.
The funniest part to me about the Big Bang is that Nexon actually found a way to make the game harder for most of the player base while making it seem like they were making things easier. I mean take a look at what they did to the EXP. They slightly lowered EXP given from most higher level monsters, significantly lowered EXP given from bosses, removed 2x EXP cards from the cash shop, lowered family buff to 1.2x and put a cooldown on ultimates. If nexon did this before we got the big bang, players would have raged. But since the big bang lowered the EXP required to level by a ton, it made Nexon look good. Look at what they did to the damage. They more than doubled most of our damage, but they put PDR on boss to increase the bosses HP and doubled / tripled the HP on most monsters. They also reset like over 100 of my quests that I spent countless hours on doing.
Maple disgusts me at the moment to be honest. I realize that games update and evolve and that's progress, it just doesn't seem like the same Maple I knew and enjoyed and to me Potential / Big Bang pretty much killed the fun of it.

When I arrived from Orbis I was in a town with a Taxi and I didnt have to use a return scroll. For Leafre to Ellinia, I was close enough to Elinia to not need a return scroll. Now I'm stuck using more return scrolls because when I arrive in victoria I am a few minutes away from a Taxi.
I save 2 minutes? Wow... now I just need a reason to go to Orbis and care about those 2 minutes. I care far more about going between leafre and victoria since I actually have a reason to travel between the two places. For Orbis... I'd only care to go for a Zrun, which is covered by the fact that I can just teleport to El Nath.
I agree on the PQs. While I like the new level limit, its not a real increase in variety, and I dont see why we would need to PQ anymore... The PQ rewards are simply not worth the effort put into earning them, especailly thanks to the potential system.

I too preferred the old victoria. If they put a taxi in sleepywood needing a town scroll wouldn't really be an issue though, and it would make sense. Why have taxis from every town on the continent take you to sleepywood, but there's no taxi to take you anywhere from there?
It's 2 minutes but it is still faster. I find myself moving from every possible area to the next because bossing is the best exp now so even 2 minutes less travel is a plus for me.
As far as PQs go i hope they just make big bang versions of CWKPQ and VPQ and re-implement them. If that's what they meant when they said exclusive content for the next months that's fine with me, but if they make something totally new and awesome that's cool too.
