What we're some of your mistakes with MapleStory when you first joined?

When I got off maple island, someone wanted my armor (White t-shirt etc) and wanted to trade a Jr. Sentential piece for it. They said the Jr. Sentential piece was a rare item. .____.
I also collected tubes and gave them away.

this.

OMG xD i lol'd

- i kept asking people how they got a 'second name' below their normal one. (guilds)
- i added str thinking i could change it sometime later.
- i thought you had to fight zakum alone... and meet an arm at a time... kinda like one arm per map and after killing one you could move on.
- i thought monsters could go through portal. And i 'protected' the portal that leads to elinia one map to the bottom of ellinia (in 2005, people actually trained there).
- deathly thought orbis was a 'pro' place.

I became a mage at lv 14 because I didn't have enough int.
I traded a gfa 60% for a sleepywood scroll because I though that using a scroll was the only way to get there.

I added LUK to my first warrior thinking he would find more drops.

Who didn't get stuck in Sleepywood or El Nath in their first trip?
.
I also pictured El Nath differently, tought it was some sort of a desert.

I got equal stats in everything as a warrior. I thought, at the time, "When I raise my pokemon's level, their stats all go up. It should be the same for me."

I thought Fighters were the master of defense since they had power guard, so I maxed Iron Body.

I forged a Gold Joosting (sic) Helm only to find that it didn't give any additional stats. When people asked me how I got the helm, I told them God gave it to me.

I spent DAYS trying to get emeralds to forge a Green Magician Glove just because of the 1 INT bonus.
.
Anyone remember the level 25 Magician Gloves problem?
It was non-existant in the server for a lot of time.
.
Also, anyone remember Eviscerators? :o

Technically it is a desert.

For me it was the standard "balanced" stats issue, and adding too much dex later on.

The only thing I remember doing was balancing my stats.
Hey, archers need to be smart too, so more points into INT!

Sold tons of 10k NX for just a million.

I would always add STR to my mage because whenever I ran out of MP I would take out a sword and start meleeing.

"Dragon Knights can outdamage Hermits."

LMFAO.

Til I played a Hermit.

I thought there was a secret to the Bigger Ben because a friend told me. I spent an hour or two trying to figure out the non-existent puzzle.

That's pretty much it. Maple wasn't my first MMO so I didn't start off being a total idiot, plus I started playing the game because my girlfriend at the time played so she showed me the ropes from the very beginning.

I made a warrior and put points into luck ._.

My only major mistake I made in Maple was having my AP distributed evenly on my first character, which also ended up being a warrior. I wasn't even able to wear my level appropriate gear until 2-3 levels later lol
Ended up remaking the warrior at 28 and he's what I'm playing even as of today.

I went on a trip down Orbis tower with a friend and got killed by Sentinels. I have a screenshot of it on my other computer.
