What we're some of your mistakes with MapleStory when you first joined?

Ill start:

I thought MapleSEA was a part of Aqua Road
I thought the NPC price of items were its actual cost

I went around asking hermits how i could get flash jump [I was a mage]
I thought putting points into str would help me get stronger

I thought you could quit your job

I thought that i can become a warrior after I made a mage player
I Thought that M.att potion make my attck stronger even when it's over...
I thought I need to raie STR and HP whe i was noob...

I sold a panlid for 2000 mesos (NPC price).

I have a Str Mage in Scania.
When I got off maple island, someone wanted my armor (White t-shirt etc) and wanted to trade a Jr. Sentential piece for it. They said the Jr. Sentential piece was a rare item. .____.
I also collected tubes and gave them away.

I made my marksman because i saw that crossbows had more attack than bows, and i thought all archers would get hurricane.

I thought archers could use shields; I spent ages hunting a pan lid from green mushrooms, and finally found one, just to watch my bow get unequipped when I equipped the pan lid.

I thought I need to re-login to change the channel.
I thought monsters' HP bar will show exactly when attack hit them( I was using 56k modem at that time).
I thought, with quick enough tap, I can separate Double Shot's attack.

i really liked luck on my warrior, because it gave BOTH accuracy AND avoid. i capped at 20.

I didn't max Improved MaxHP Increase on my 1st warrior, and my 1st mage.
I "balanced" my stats a little on my 1st warrior (~10-15 INT and LUK), and then realized that mistake not too long after.
My 1st warrior had 100+ DEX.
I used to think (pre-Big Bang) that Iron Body/Magic Armor was useful (sometime after I remade SlayerZach. Only had 1 Iron Body "TO CANCEL OUT THE -DEFENSE FROM RAGE IN A PARTY c).

I put luk on a warrior so I could get less exp lost.

Very first character :

11 or so to all stats at level 10. x_x

Second character : I didn't max HP increase, I put points in it late. I didn't max Power Strike or Slash Blast (lolendure). I didn't max Power Guard or Booster so I could fix the Power Strike and Slash Blast issue... etc. It was a TERRIBLE character.

I thought ch. stood for chapter, and thought I had to beat ch.1 before I could go to ch.2, etc.
Maple"story"?

I didn't really mess anything up, besides point allocations.
I didn't use Magic guard, and I put AP into Health because I always ended up dying.

I read a few guides before starting playing, but I misundestood them:
I opened a magician to be, and I knew that strength and dex should be 4 or 5. But, being an addicted Pokemon player, I thought you start it on a low level in order to raise it, so you won't lose *things*. (Like catching a pokemon in the lower level possible so it won't forget useful attacks).
After my friend noticed that, I restarted.
This time, I left my strength and dex at 4/5, but I did raise some HP and MP, and I thought that the formula LUK = LEVEL + 3 means that every level I raise 3 luck. I became a magician only at level 9.

My biggest mistake was starting maplestory in the first place. DAMN YOU, RETROSPECT

I had a LUK warrior because i tought LUK would change anything regarding drop rate.
And apparently, it changed pretty much on that, ironically, i got a few more equips on that before i gave up, LOL.

I also bought a mushroom cap for 1k mesos because i tought it was a pretty hat.
The worst thing was my friend trying to double click Tree Branches to summon monsters.

my first mage had 30 str to help my HP growth. and no max magic guard. oh so pro.

I thought when i hit lv 37 i had a right to sit around in hene and act like a pro with max thunderbolt.

This too. DAMN being a fifteen year-old boy with a life and then finding something on the internet and losing that life. D:

I also had no MP recovery.
So, everytime my MP ran out, and i had no potion money, i had to watch some Spongebob episodes during the recovery process.
Like one episode per cycle.
