SaptaZapta Wrote:Are you doing automated string-matching, or also looking at the answers and normalizing spelling? I am going to be using a program provided by a poster from another forum, its going to be my first time using it so im not 100% how it works. But regardless, the example answers you gave would be grouped in the end. LA= lower accent= lower ascent, but xbox is not the same as xbox360 for example. Anyone who has submitted answers already is free to resubmit before tomorrow

Just wondering, did anyone get some sort of reply PM? cause I sent mine in and kinda wonder if they were ok (just noticed it says un numbered list, I numbered questions 1-10, don't see how that could be bad but still, you never know)

Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:Just wondering, cause this got me confused, did you screw up red? It should have 3 names right? yes fail on my part. For those asking, unnumbered list with only answers are the best way to submit because there is a program used to score the game so it is not all done by hand. If one person numbered their list and one didn't, the program would see "1. blue" and "blue" as different.

larmie Wrote:Oh that answers my questions; misspellings and abbreviations will count towards a different reply...*facepalm* While this is true, would you [OT] check answers meaning Person A: Blue Person B: Bule Pretty obvious person B just mispelled. Would you make them the same or not? And also, would answers be case-sensitive or no

larmie Wrote:Oh that answers my questions; misspellings and abbreviations will count towards a different reply...*facepalm* The part about "1. blue" and "blue" is how the program works. I'm requesting answers be sent in unnumbered because it just makes entering all the data a ton easier. For people who submitted answers only, i can simply copy/paste into the program, submissions with numbers and or the questions included too, i have to manual enter or copy into word, delete the numbers/questions and then paste into the program. So its just something that takes no effort on the part of the people who enter, that makes it a lot easier on my end. Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:While this is true, would you [OT] check answers meaning Answers are not case-sensitive and i fixed any spelling errors/differences in similar answers. One last bump in case people haven't seen this that might want to enter If you can be around at 6pm, I will be starting the reveal then in a new thread, its always kinda fun to follow along and try to guess what the most popular answer is going to be, and to tease people for their answers on previous questions
