Visitor event in a nutshell
#21
Random_Overlord Wrote:So in theory this is my guess is that there really was no future, there was no time machine. The future was ACTUALY a pocket in time or a time crossroad of sorts in time that was exploited by both sides to create havoc. When the crossroad intersected, which was when the crystanol ran out and when the visitors appeared, that is when pomegranate hit the fan and when stage 2 ~ 3 occured.

In the end, you were sent minus 1 day before the event occured when Dr.Bind was still in omega and he wouldn't remember you since you never met him yet. Thus the world is saved and the crossroad of time was destroyed along with the memory of the visitor's exsistance as they are invisible since their crystanol never ran out.

Which leads me to a really stupid cliffhanger if you ask me... As they might appear again someday due to their power source being stolen again by another figure.
There's no evidence for that though. While yes, it does make slightly more sense than what's actually going on, it isn't the storyline that's presented in game. While i would hope the last quest clears it up like that, there's still the problem of the visitor gear existing in the present when there's no reason it should. You stopped bing from developing it, stopped people from getting crystanol to fuel it, and by the end of the event, the whole last 2 months of plot progress is wiped and never happened... except there's a ton of visitor gear in existence that runs on Crystanol but was never created. That came from nowhere and couldn't be obtained since there's no time machine to get it. No matter how you look at this there's no way everything can work out logically. It's not even worth worrying about, obviously Nexon didn't.

PARADOX matter. it came from the paradox in the timeline. Its very existence is dependant on itself, and that's what makes it awesome.

No it isn't, the whole timeline is averted, that was the point of my prior post: There isn't even a standing paradox here. Nothing about the plotline creates a stable time loop, it unravels after one iteration. No paradox.

If you're talking about the fact we have Visitor gear after the plot concludes, I think that's because we brought it with us while time traveling. My elaborate explanation is that bringing objects that weren't originally there somehow corrupted time or something.

To be perfectly honest, I stared tearing up when i read this because I knew I'd lose even more sleep trying to make sense of this.

Without Present Maplers stealing the Crystanol, there is no need for time travelling invasion; yet without invasion, there is no need for stealing the Crystanol. Though I guess all this could've started out as Dr. Bing's ambition for completing his Time Machine and The Bing Suit. And because this is too embarrassing a bit of detail, both his present and future selves decide to keep us in the dark about it.
So it started out in the present, the creation of the Time Machine, the loss of Crystanol, the Retaliation (instead of Invasion) and it all completes an endless cycle.

Much like what happens after you travel back to the past and stop yourself. If you pushed the button, there would be no ability to travel back in time. If you never pushed it, that would imply an intervention ahead of time. But nothing would have occurred before the thought has been bred in your mind.
There has to be a starting point, yet it all loops into a self-repeating cycle.

@above discussion; so basically the entire thing is Inception in game format, understood.
 Spoiler

Stage 3 (Cube PQ) seems to be the hard part: can someone please explain it? (esp. as a bowmaster/marksmen) Keep in mind JMS is getting potential/enhancement system with this patch so we would be significantly weaker than GMS or KMS.
