Oh dear god. I don't know how this works but it's amazing. I assume that the program studies the surrounding areas for information regarding colors and shapes and bullshits into the gap. But good god, how?!?!

At this rate Photoshop will just have one button and do exactly what you want it to. It won't be long before Photoshop uses Content-aware to fill in the edges of our lives.

It must be running a very advanced random algorithm...
I read something in Wired about this, not to long ago. Some doctors needed a super hi-res scan of a kid's lungs, and to do that, they would have to shut down his body for 2 mins or something like that. Then they applied this algorithm, I've forgotten it's name, and only needed about 15 sec. of his lungs, used the algorithm and it gave them everything they needed. The algorithm works on, if i remember correctly, making random colored pizels, and expanding on those pixels if the ones surrounding it seem similar. This one probably uses the surroundings to fill in the spaces, and probably you can't shop the clothes off of a girl without something being amiss. Probably if she would already be uncovered at least in some area, then it probably could. If anyone does know what kind of algorithm it is, please send it to me. I'm very interested in things like this. EDIT: found it: http://www.wired.com/magazine/2010/02/ff_algorithm/

On an even deeper level... what will happen if I take a photo of myself, select the entire photo, and then use content-aware delete? Will I see my soul? God? Infinite nothingness?
