Bon apetit Nexon...
#21
Sigh... decreased demand and price for skillbooks will be quite a problem for HT profits... since ~50% of split distributions are from skillbooks. As if Nexon didn't make Horntail useless enough... if people decided to monopolize HT it wouldn't be a problem... on the other hand I suppose this is a good thing for people who still have expensive skillbooks to use up.

I guess the difference between the skills system for 1-3 jobs and 4th job is a few dollars and severe decease in price of skills... Is Nexon losing money now, or are they just hungry for more? NX is going to completely replace Mesos one day...

You're be surprised at the amount of people who say "Woot! Down with business bosses!"

Korea Nexon most likely makes less money than Nexon America. It's a freaking business for Christ's sake.

Notice I specifically mentioned KMS. You know, the version that doesn't have MTS?

And your second sentence makes no sense whatsoever.

Nexon always gets in the way of business... Gachapon Boxes, Mark of Naricain, etc. Meso is going to keep getting harder to make without NX Cash...

With the current demonopolization of Horntail in my server, prices are going to drop by a large amount and if these new Skillbook CS Items ever get released... things can only get worse...

Well, when you say it like this...

I'm glad Nexon is doing this. People have been running certain parts of maple like it's their very own for way too long. pomegranate needs to stop.

Haha, you are reminding me of the argument in the last FM related topic. But please, consider the view of anybody who regularly HT or merchants. Those people are the ones who work hard, and now their hard work is going to yield fewer results - perhaps by a drastic amount.

All HT yields is drama and elitism. The people who feel like they own HT (there's one group on every server) will finally get theirs while everyone else finally gets a chance to profit. Anyone who wants to do HT runs for fun will have a better shot at it without worry of being DC'd by some self-entitled jerks. I don't care about merchants losing money. They've had their day in the sun for two years.

Only mastery guides are being sold in the cash shop. For skillbooks, players are on their own. If these skillbooks still drop from Horntail (or from whatever the new boss might be for the big patch coming soon) then there might still be a chance for a monopoly even if it's a small one.

Have you ever tried to host a HT? Do you know how much work it is to gather people, start on time, and deal with high cost of apples (which is returned during split distribution), plus the possible risk of failure? Of course anybody is free to HT, but the more people that do fight it the fewer the profits.

It's just like Zakum. Zakum Helmets were very costly... to accomodate the expenditures of Mesos Explosion and the fact that few were capable of defeating it. Onyx Apples,4th Job, and addition of two Zakum channels allowed more people to go Zak, which caused Zhelms to be worthless at this point in time. So, if there is no profit to be made from bossing... this causes more players to be reliant on NX Cash and Buying Mesos to upgrade equipment/maintain other costs. Surely somebody with moral standards like yourself can not support these actions.

Nope, I definitely haven't. If it's that big of a hassle though then surely you'd be happier washing your hands of it. The trouble people have to go through doesn't entitle them to act the way they do when it comes to HT. And no, not anyone is free to HT, not even close. They SHOULD be able to, but there are a lot of people out there who get their kicks getting in others way of having fun, or as you said, are afraid of losing their monopoly. It's disgusting practice that should be eliminated and hopefully, with this new path, will be eventually.

Nice jab, but none of that has anything to do with morals except buying mesos which is still never a necessity. In fact, with less mesos being given to monopoly vendors, it leaves more for other things. More money and easier access to stock = more deflation = happier everyone (except merchants. Oh well.)

Impossible... and the only reason why people are getting down and dirty for HT is because of the profits it yields. Not everybody has the funds to go to HT for fun. And like I said before, people are greedy for meso and are protected from being caught... there will be hacks until the game is dead. I'm told with the new way MS is to be opened, the hackers just need a way to inject the hacks? Not sure how that works but I'm assuming hacks will come back quite soon.

I was implying morals relating to Nexon's business plans for their Cash Shop. Buying mesos isn't a necessity but of course people will rely on these services if they have the money. If less mesos are being given to the monopolizers, won't it also be correlated to lack of meso? Prices will vary depending on how quickly the monopolizers wish to sell their skillbooks. If people are short on meso, the end result will be either to buy meso, do Gachapon/ sell NX Cards, or unfortunately for you, merchant. This possibly could be the result with KMS's newest Cash Shop additions.

It doesn't matter what their reasoning for acting the way they do is, it doesn't change anything and it doesn't make it okay. The facts are that currently HT is only available to certain groups of selfish people with no morals or even idea that it's a game that is for everyone, not just them. All of your arguments hang onto the point that no one should care because of internet anonymity and they can do whatever they want. While this may be true currently, it doesn't make it okay for people to do it, and if Nexon is the one who ends up profiting over shithead children with no idea how to act properly, I'm absolutely fine with that.

Well it's those people that are profiting the most in game, and causing Nexon to profit the least. Nexon is profiting off the people who are unable to make meso like the selfish, hacker people.

I'm just trying to say that the addition of these CS items can encourage more selfish acts due to loss of meso due to decreased demand for skillbooks. Skillbooks are an excellent way to make money. Sadly, it's the people who take any initiative (out of selfish desire through hacks or whatever) to make sure their accumulation of meso is not stopped that will cause the enjoyment of this game for many players to decrease. The introduction of more and more CS Items will cause more and more unacceptable actions and greater dislike for the game. For this reason, and the fact that my personal gain of meso might be decreased is why I don't like the item that this topic is addressing.

I'd much rather spend 2k nx on a 100% MW 20 book than support those in the HT Business by buying MW for the ridiculous sum of 250+mill off them.

Looks like some of the griping wasn't uncalled for.

The mastery books you buy from the cash shop comes with a bonus... 1 extra SP! So when you apply them to your skill, it will add an extra skill point. So basically, you can now buy skill points.

Rage: ensue.
