Mass bannings

i wasn't switching accounts and i was banned. i had just finished vending and logged off for about an hour and came back to a banned account.

Apparently nearly a dozen lvl 200s in Bera were banned.

Maybe they made a Medal to identify them. "Maple Leaf Brigade". xD

I just purchased a new hired merchant on my free market account a little under a week ago. Logged in a few minutes ago to find my merchant account was somehow banned, despite how I never really do anything on there but buy/sell.

How come almost every post here and everyone I've heard say something about this seems to have been doing something related to vending/permits? Is this just a huge coincidence? Or is it related to the FM and/or stores?

I'm concerned because I bought one yesterday and was vending. Thankfully I didn't at all today. What were other people that got banned doing?

One of my guildes got banned for a day for misconduct. No reason for it. Not sure what is going on with Nexon now.

I wasn't banned, but kept getting dc-hacked in the FM today. Every other hour = "Invalid Pointer" message. Maybe there's a newer DC hack that the game is confusing the victims of as the hackers themselves (similar to the fame-hack).

My theory is that anyone who was vending Item Maker profit was targeted by this hack or a rogue GM who thought the mass amounts of refined Minerals/Jewels were obtained illegally.

Also possible/plausible. I had a ton of refined Crystals in my store for 4.5mUH!

Great, more reasons to fear being AFK in the FM, just because that's the easiest place for nubs with hacks to find victims.

My theory is that the auto ban system has a monthly quota to fulfill and with the recent depletion of hackers/nexon manually banning people the AI is finding it difficult to make ends meet and therefore rampaging so it doesn't lose it's job.

The economy is making it difficult for even AI's to legitimately find work.

Speaking of theories, here's one of mine. AFAIK, the "Alert" button in people's stores doesn't actually work, so normal players can't report people using that. What if there's some packet that fakes a GM Alert, like lots of them, causing people to be mass reported instantly? That could cause people to then be banned for no apparent reason.

I was falsely banned but it was completely different. I spammed like 23 smegas than AFKed on the same acc for like 3 hours.. When I tried to get back on I was on the main screen and it said "blah blah blah... misconduct blah blah 1 week."

I never knew nexon didn't want my money... but still unfair

I was DC-hacked probably around ten or fifteen times earlier today. Maybe that's setting off some kind of autoban thing.

Ah, so that's what that was. I hadn't been d/c hacked in the FM yet, but while I was camping out the alchemy maker store for the past 3 days, I've had that error d/c me a number of times.

Regardless, this has me spooked as well... my one remaining goal in MS could be destroyed if I were to be banned right as this particular patch is released.
