I was only logging off on my cleric to transfer something to my Shadower. Just bought a new store as well, and was about to buy some last ap resets from the sale... Good going Nexon, this is great, especially a day before a patch I was very much looking forward to.

I dunno, these sort of bans usually seem to get triggered by the auto ban system somehow. Been happening to people before the Leaf Brigade already.
Then again, you never know now, since you have to log off anyway if one of those "gm's" ban you I guess.
Edit: Are they even allowed to ban anyway? Thought they could only report or something.
And more people were indeed banned just now, a few smega's about it in Scania.

MWLB don't have the power to ban people, only a high-priority report. Besides, we don't even have confirmation that they are active - no data exists for them, and nobody has seen one.

I don't even think there's anything to see. Catch one outside of hide and what are you supposed to see? A GM hat/equpis? No, since they aren't GMs. O_o

I would think Nexon would have some way of letting them identify themselves, something that normal players couldn't have. Similar to how GMs have their custom suitcases/hats/suits.

I just purchased a new hired merchant on my free market account a little under a week ago. Logged in a few minutes ago to find my merchant account was somehow banned, despite how I never really do anything on there but buy/sell.

A guild member of mine got banned on her main account as well. She signed onto her lower leveled account and when she tried to log onto her main account she got a nice suprise. All of her money is on her main account as well, so she can't really do anything for a week =/.

I hope I'm wrong, but it seems that everyone being banned was going from one account to another at the time. Perhaps they instituted some sort of last minute autoban to prevent people from having multiple accounts right before Cygnus to increase character slot sales?
I really hope this isn't something they'd do though.

Nope I was logging off on my cleric and wanted to go on my Shadower which is on the same account. Then again, I did have my other account logged in on my other comp, but that would be stupid. My other 2 (mule)accounts aren't banned btw.

I had logged on for about 45 minutes earlier today to say hi and get an agent badge then I attempted to log back on maybe three or four hours later only to witness a banhammer smacking my main account.
Glad I'm not the only one with the problem; maybe they'll fix it sooner rather than later.

As Eos always says, there is big evidence that they are not live at all right now and that it was probably just a scare tactic to provoke a little fear in hackers/scammers/etc.
Besides, it can't be them anywho. From what Nexon described them as doing, they only moderate. They have no other powers. Plus, even if they did select or flag people for bans, I'm sure that the GM's are smart enough to tell if the flagging was for a legit reason or not.
I personally think it's something wrong with the auto-ban system... again.
But it does have me scared. Earlier after reading about tons of others being banned, I logged out and tried to log back in to make sure I wasn't a victim, and I could get in just fine. So I don't know what to think or do. I'm not sure if I should just get off and stay off, or what... it is a bit frightening. I really don't want to be banned (even if it's only a day up to a week or so).
