Farming Piece of Time
#21
I've gotten at least 5 or 6 from Oblivion 4, my current solo training spot, and 13-14 (total 19) from the 999 quests/killing as I pass through. Nothing seems to drop them more or less, got 1-2 for each 999 quest I did. Any belief otherwise is simply luck or killing speed differences.

So it looks like we're getting a decent drop rate of them. Not so fast you can forge items willy-nilly, but they drop often enough that there's a point in collecting them.

Yes, and that training there would allow people to farm and exp gain quite nicely. It also offsets training cost there by providing a decent droprate of a mil+ item.

I honestly can't see them being more than 1m after the initial price surge from maker because of the number of people that will be there training or farming PB etcs.

I might farm some myself at those qualm(GMS's regret, right?) mobs, since CL+ifrit=pwn

I'm just glad Nexon repented for their mistakes of Dragon Spirits/Scales with Time Fragments. 120 gear will be more common than 110.

I don't really think so, mass forging reverse armor for only like 20mil excluding crystals just doesn't sound realistic. The demand has to be higher than that. And I think most people still prefer the skelegon minidungeon, especially with time temple's many inconveniences.

I just can't be hopeful enough to think that I could get 6m+ easily from a single training session (3m+ per piece of time), Maple tends to be pretty soul crushing when it comes to making money by training. I think you're underestimating how common these are - just from questing, the average mapler will get between 2-5 (in a party) or 10+ (solo). The bosses drop them at about 1/8 kills as well. Essentially, they fall halfway between etcs and equips for droprate. The only reason they'd be inflated is the sheer number required to forge anything. I'd be ecstatic if they do hit beyond 3m each, though, because that would make a well-maker'd 120 equip worth up to 100m+ clean. I dunno though. Doesn't seem likely.

TT maps can be gotten to in about the same time frame as getting to skeles, and can be doored to as well. The experience there (Solo) is better for almost any job-class in their late 140s and beyond, provided they can survive, the drops are better, and the maps involve a lot less climbing with a lot more room to move around for Corsairs/Night Lords. Not being able to use a town scroll is an inconvenience, yes, but it's one I can deal with, as can most other people (it's worth it on long training sessions). For emergencies, a potion mule can be doored to a map and used to re-stock to compensate for potion spam.

They are 1.5-1.7 each in jMS now, so 1-3m sounds pretty realistic.

At least in Windia Time Temple is nearly deserted. Idk if that will change when ppl realize how usefull Pieces of Time are. In the FM there are some stores with TT etcs like masks, boss etcs and Piece of Time. Most of them are set ~5mil. Still I didn't see anyone buying those.

Most of this problem stems from gMS's obsession with leeching. Anyone and everyone has a bishop mule, and uses it to leech their main character at skeles. People DO train solo there, I tend to run into at least 1 or 2 each trip.

the droprate is low, if you are not using an ultimate and OHKOing you're not going to make a lot of profit. you should look to higher levelled monsters then that if you are using a targeted attack.

personally, i got a piece of time while killing lilynouch. but im not trying it again because i'm a mage.
