[GMS] Security Update: 0.69

Again, the section is "update", so it is a patch. They did the same for the bug-fix patch. Its name was Unscheduled Server Update, but it was patch 0.68. This time, the name is Security Update, but as the Unscheduled Server Update and all the other patches, it is listed under the "update" category, so it is a patch. Patch 0.69.

EDIT: Also, they obviously need to patch to "implement a new security tool" (in this case, HackShield) in the game.

don't know about ventrilo, but no one from my guild has been banned yet for using fraps. also as a side note, joytokey works fine as well.

of course, this is if you can actually get on the game. D:..

Blitz already said fraps works. Nexon would set up a pomegranate storm if they tried holding video events like they have the past few months when the tool used to make videos in the first place is unable to work.

Not sure about what you guys will be getting, but I believe MSEA has Ahnlab Hackshield Pro. Which had some update and initializing issues earlier though I can't remember what caused them. Probably something to do with internet connection.

Do they have some secret deal with whoever makes Fraps? I don't want to have to pay $20 to record me and my friends playing.

Erm... Isn't it a little too soon to assume they're implimenting Hackshield? It kind of seems like we're jumping to conclusions here.

They could be using bad phrasing for adding on a fix for hacking. I'm waiting for when I start up MS tomorrow to see if we get HS.

I am worried. While it's great that they are doing a much needed security update, I really doubt that me or any other legit wants to get banned from it not working properly :/

It's going to make me paranoid about exiting off programs before going on MS now
