[GMS] Security Update: 0.69

This update has been postponed to Monday, April 27th, 2009.

MapleStory will go through a security update on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009.
This involves all game servers, and it will last for approximately 4.5 hours.

<MapleStory Update>
- Server : All Game Servers
- Time : Wednesday, April 22nd, 10:00 pm ~ 2:30 am PDT
(Thursday, April 23rd, 5:00 am ~ 9:30 am GMT)

A new security tool will be implemented with this updated.
The website will be available during this time.

It's a patch, because it's in the "Update" section and they obviously need a patch to "implement a new security tool".. HackShield much?

At least it's faster in loading.. but I've heard of people getting "hack detected" error just by Alt+tabbing and using Windows Live Messenger..

Oh well, who cares.. I don't use it anyway..

I just hope this will stop hackers.. but I have the feeling it won't.. it will just probably INCREASE the number of hackers..

Hackshield works in W7. Gameguard doesn't.

This update sounds good to me.

I wonder which version it is. Basic, Plus, or Pro.

Well, Nexon did start of with hackers in their open letter. So hopefully they'll go with , at least, Plus. But I'm hoping Pro. IDK what NIST Rijndael AES format is but it sounds good.

Thanks for bursting my bubble. *punches* Does Hackshield scan for changes in the WZ files, seeing as the hacking now takes place there.

I guess we'll see if HS is actually a downgrade from GG then, if the amount of hackers hacking through HS increases. It probably won't though. It just makes things for the normal user more annoying.

I believe Hackshield is the same in any version of MS. (Will come with the same glitches for GMS, too.)
It may be annoying at times but overall I prefer it over gameguard.

Where exactly does it say this is a patch though? O_o
