If MS1 and its 11 year code can still manage to be one of the top MMOs worldwide despite the constant assault of hackers, I'm sure MS2 with its newer code will manage just fine.

Regardless, I think if they look to the side, some value of a point should be visible, or they should tone down the details everywhere else a bit. The flat area just kills the model. They may get better in future years though.... May not even be the actual thing

They are. Maplestory characters literally do not have noses in game.
