IIRC, Beowulfs in Lionheart Castle (the polar bear riding on a wolf) can do that but it does minimal damage.

I just don't get why so many people just want the Cygnus to be evil period. Yeah, otherwise it follows a more stereotypical path, but there comes a point where you accept those since all plot frames were created centuries ago anyway. It is how something is presented that determines it's enjoyability. Originality is all well and good, but there's only so far you can go in terms of plot that hasn't been done (unless you pull something stupid like that upcoming "Cowboys VS. Aliens" movie). Besides, knowing the creators of this game, I'd much rather have consistency than something overly new (see Olivia).
As for my revised opinion of what I think happened; I believe that they attempted to reseal the Black Mage, but were given a false report on how to do it by some sort of spy or traitor; and instead of sealing him inside an object or location like he had been before, he wound up sealed inside Cygnus. Even then, the seal was not complete and her influence eventually led others into darkness. As mentioned before, the death animations of the new steroid mobs have a dark swirl in them before returning to their original mobs, so I'm more inclined to believe corruption is the theme here. What has my curiosity piqued is more that behind the gate to the future, there are two passages (of a possible many? perhaps akin to the maps with the doors just outside of Pap) that have been forcefully broken into. I could understand if the Black Wings + Mage forcefully broke into the past in order to undermine the present, but I can't think up circumstances that would motivate someone to break into/or out of the future.
@accuracy: Watch them change everything to make DEX and acc needed again and screw over warriors adapting to the BB standard now. At least if people can kill pap before then, they'd have the overkill acc cape to account for that.

GMS had that first btw, in the alien event, some of the Visitor mobs in the pq could do triple hits.

It just seems limited when compared to 3d games (wow, old rs, ect).

MapleStory PVP kind of reminds me of Elsword PVP.

I haven't gotten to try PVP on Wonderking, so I have no idea how it works there. I don't know of any other 2D games with PVP like that, though.

They should...
1. Disable "snatching" attacks by making them always miss or be unable to "snatch". i.e. Chains of Hell, Snatch, Monster Magnet. This means that Chains of hell will only hit once or do nothing if the target isn't close enough for the remaining hits to connect.
2. Reduce the damage dealt by skills that hit multiple times. The more times the skill hits, the less damage it deals.
3. Mages should take the most damage. Thieves, Archers and Pirates should take about the same amount of damage. Warriors should take the least. Everyone has the same amount of HP.

i know but the helm isn't wellmade at all. the shading, colouring, it look like some amateur that made it.

Both players are given the same amount of HP. Apart from that, I believe everything from PvE goes over to PvP. So no nerfed skills or nerfed power from your equipment which translates to constant "balancing" of skills that affect both PvE and PvP. Which could get annoying.
Noobs can fight higher level people too. So yeah.
Also, back then there were still some annoying balance issues. Like Saints (WK equivalent of Clerics?) being invincible and some other stuff. And this is with a game that was planned to have PvP.
I had fun playing it though.
Oh and yes, that's shadow partner.

Thieves don't get Flash Jump in PvP.
The only movement skills are Rush, Slash Storm, Teleport, Assaulter, and Corkscrew.

with only either phoenix or hawk out.... 28% chance (per combined attack arrowbomb+bird) to basically guarantee an enemy's death sounds rather nice.
I wonder if dragon pulse will find use here... lol at warriors not being able to touch BMs if BMs can just pulse them away.
