Unfortunately, your posts completely assumes she's an ignorant, rebellious teenager and that the only trustworthy source is the dad. You also say that people shouldn't assume, yet you assumed all that about her laptop.



Blowing up a possession is not popping someone's little bubble. You do know that it can make her go deeper into her little bubble, right? As for the "people in THIS day and age..." thing, what if she was just sharing it to her friends so she can get over it?




I can agree on this (it being extreme), but a talk between the two would have been most ideal. =)

You don't buy a new battery and power cord if they were fine in the first place. That's a reasonable assumption don't you think.

Sharing it with her friends on facebook is why there are now 7 bullet holes in her laptop. A phone call or text parents would of never saw it and she'd still have a laptop.
