As a guy going into IT, I fear for my children. (If i have any)
He has a right to be pissed imo, but he overreacted. And I have a few other things to say: first, it appears like the girl is spoiled, but who else spoiled her other than the parents? They are partially to blame for her tantrum in the first place. Secondly, why post this to her friends and the public? Why not keep it private? I think the dad just wanted attention and people to agree with him in a similar way to how his daughter wanted attention when she had her rant. Anyway, the father blew the whole thing out of proportion. The girl is spoiled yes, spoiled by her parents and easy life. The father should've just took away the laptop, and other privileges for a good 3 months. I'm sure that would've taught the girl her lessons. But instead he made a sideshow of the whole overblown ordeal to the public. There are better ways to handle things like this. And modern teens are just that, teens. Most teens are generally still cynical kids and they need to learn what real life is before they go living it. This gives the girl a good lesson of what real life is but the father could have demonstrated that lesson in a less destructive way to her without embarrassing himself and her.
