Ram only costs around $20 per gig. $130 for software update sounds like a new operating system. The six to seven hours of putting in the new hardware though makes me think that he bought in a new fan or graphic's card and reconfigured stuff through BIOS. But I don't know why you would replace anything in a laptop aside from RAM as the casing for most laptops are small and makes it inconvenient to replace parts. And also that laptop looks like it's too small to really offer a lot of room for changes. Can anyone identify what type of computer it is?
