Would maxing Snipe early be a mistake?

Due to recent changes in other versions, Snipe's damage cap was raised to 200k. Someone did a calculation of this new cap and came to the conclusion that a Marksman with maxed Snipe could almost meet up to a Bowmaster's DPS. I'm only asking this because I'm not sure if it's guaranteed GMS will get this new damage cap. As for myself, I'm 144 and have 14 points into Snipe right now. I'm thinking about resetting Pierce a bit so I can get maxed Snipe earlier with minimal training. (All I do is boss now anyway.) So yeah, this is my build right now:

Obviously maxed Snipe is going to help my damage more than maxed SE or MW could ever do. So is now an optimal time to max it or could it even be done earlier?
