iPhone question.

I've been following the rumor mill intensely because I'm getting an iPhone ASAP, and feel, like you, that I'll wait to get a better model if it comes out soon.

Which it is. The most recent rumor is that the iPhone 5 is coming mid-October. Speculation in general puts it somewhere between October 7-15. The rumors also say the iPhone 5 won't be drastically different from the iPhone 4, with the biggest changes being the A5-duo core processor (? if I got that right; it's the current processor powering the iPad 2, which is pretty sweet to think about it in an iPhone), and a supposed 8 megapixel camera (current is 5; 8 would rival point and shoots).

Personally, I feel it's worth it to wait. If you're like me and will use the phone intensely, then the iPhone 5 will obviously be better for performance means. If you just want an iPhone and don't care about little changes, then, like said earlier, still wait till the iPhone 5 is released because every single time Apple has released a new iPhone they've simultaneously lowered the price on the previous model.

That sounds great, that way I can make it my xmas present to myself and not feel guilty.
The 8megapixel camera is very tantalizing for sure, specially since I already take a lot of pictures with my phone's camera despite the not so great quality.
Being a girl though another major selling point for me would be any changes in appearance, because I have to say looks-wise I like the 3rd gen over the 4th gen. The iPhone 4 is so boxy, so if they new one were to be a little more curvy that would be great.
As for the "A5-duo core processor" that doesn't tell me much, I mean I get that it's clearly faster than whatever the iPhone 4 has but an iPhone isn't a computer I don't see it having huge processing issues. Unless of course the 5th gen were able to multitask more that would be amazing. I really hate how you can't switch between apps w/o exiting one and opening the other. Iirc the iPad switches between apps more smoothly, if that were implemented that would also be really sweet.
