A Look at Monster Book

Okay. There are a total of 8 monsters on Maple Island currently. They would each drop a card. If I were to find all 40 cards on my islander, would I have a total of 40 Regular Cards or a total of 8 Regular Cards?


I assume 40, but I just want to make sure. Your post doesn't help clarify it for me. XD

Also, do cards found past the original 5 (so like, the 6th slime card that you find) count towards the total or are they completely invalid? :X

The total displayed in your character info is only UNIQUE monsters. If there are 8 monsters in Maple Island then it would say you had 8 cards, and never any more.
It displays 3 numbers:
Total number of unique cards (this is the sum of the next two)
Total number of unique regular cards
Total number of unique special cards

So, for example, if I have 5 king slime cards, and 5 Deu cards, but if you look at my special card total it only says 2, not 10.
