I don't care for damage (and Night Lords are amongst the bottom for DPS). Nor do I really care for it to be ultra dynamic. However, when nearly all but a few of a 4th job class's skills are useless, I'm willing to say the class is garbage. The ones you happen to PB with are most likely funded up the wazoo which only adds to the illusion that NL's are strong. Shadowers are also much stronger than NL's. Your Shadower friend with 60k range is probably either a liar or purposely gimping himself if you're outdamaging him.

Also, I want to say that being able to KS another class doesn't mean that the KS-ing class is better than the KS'd class.
