Personally I think this is a good move by Nexon.
Now bossing isn't just restricted to whoever has spent the most NX on their equips...takes more skill and planning then.
The problem with maplestory is, it has limited "challenge". I mean they don't want you on for 4 hours, it's only 2 dimensional and theres a fine line between "lolcorner" and "WHATTHEFUCKIMPOSSIBLE". It's a good start but it's a short fix.
