You know, you don't HAVE to tell anyone you play the game. I know I don't. 
If you're unable to keep things "hidden" because of other reasons (like lack of privacy), then I feel for you. No matter how much I go philosophical on myself (be youself and all that crap), I still feel like I should be embarrassed about letting other people know I play this kind of games (or do some other stuff...) because I was raised to believe in what society deems "normal".
Indeed, society is a scary thing. Won't stop me from doing whatever I want behind closes doors though.
