Er... It's not only +25 total damage, BUT ALSO, 25% more damage to the corresponding SP hit.
Meaning that if you max it, you'd have 125% damage avenger, plus a 62.5% SP damage out of that number. So yeah, you hit more than half on that. What I'm wondering is why you don't have it yet, even if it doesn't affect TT (Nope, no effects there, sorry D
Also, Venom is quite weak, compared to everything else. A good damage boost, but only on bosses. If I were you, I'd definitely go for the avenger/drain boost.
