no. hackers dont do that for just 5k nx mp that is useless, why release it, if they can keep it private, make mesos, sell said mesos to mesos seller website, and make way more profit than just 5k mp over 100 accounts?

They release it for: the exploit finder got pissed coz he gave it to a friend and said friend abused it, for fame(e-penor(be well-know over the hacking community)), or just to screw around.

Most of the exploit finder don't release it, because they make profit off exploits, who release it are people that leeched it and then want to get some fame over a few online people, or to get it patched(rare).
