We have successfully blocked most of the exploited mesos but unfortunately there were some that did release into the game economy.
Below are the amounts of mesos that hackers attempted to add into the game worlds. Please note, we were successful in blocking most of these mesos from entering the game economy.
We have identified the accounts that hacked the game and have taken action against them.

We will continue to monitor for any additional problems.

Scania: 2 and half days worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited
Bera: 2 days worth mesos of mesos were attempted to be exploited
Broa: 1 and a half days worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited
Windia: 1 and a half days worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited
Khaini: 1 day worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited after the rollback. Before the rollback, over a week’s worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited.
Bellocan: 1 and a half days worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited
Mardia: 1 day worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited
Kradia: 2 and a half days worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited
Yellonde: half days worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited
Demethos: half days worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited
Galicia: 1 day worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited
Elnido: 1 and a half days worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited
Zenith: 1 day worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited
Arcania: 1 and a half days worth of mesos were attempted to be exploited

At last we are pleased to announce that we have fixed the meso hacking problem. We apologize for the extended down time, however we wanted to make sure we resolved the problem properly. MapleStory will be available again at the following time:

PST – 8:00 AM, Tuesday, February 01, 2011
EST – 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 01, 2011

Because of this game outage, we will hold the following event:
• 2x EXP/Drops on Friday 2/4 @ 4:00 – 6:00 PM PST
• 2x EXP/Drops on Saturday 2/5 & Sunday 2/6 @ 2:00 – 4:00 PM PST
Cash Shop items will have their expiration date extended by 24 hours.

Khaini
Thanks to a few heroic Maplers, we were able to prevent the meso hack from severely impacting all game worlds. Unfortunately Khaini was the first world to be hacked, and so the damage was very great. Despite our best efforts to avoid this situation, we will need to revert the game state of Khaini to the following: 3:30 AM on Monday, January 31, 2011.

Khainians, fear not! You will be specially compensated for this issue as follows:

• 2x EXP/Drops on Friday 2/4 @ 4:00 – 7:00 PM PST
• 2x EXP/Drops on Saturday 2/5 & Sunday 2/6 @ 1:00 – 4:00 PM PST
• Cash Shop items will have their expiration date extended by 48 hours
• 10,000 Maple Points for users logged in between 1/31 2:00 AM PST – 1/31 7:00 PM PST
• NX & Maple Points refund if spent between 1/31 2:00 AM PST – 1/31 7:00 PM PST
