That is all optional. The maps are fine as is and animations are fine as is. The most they would need to alter is the stats of the monsters. Also, dont forget that with the formulas simplified (the max damage a monster could possibly do is the attack stat) and the fact that they could use other monster's as a reference for the VPQ monsters they would not need to test for balance.

Regarding the supposed hacker, it is very possible that someone would simply want to maliciously destroy the Q&A. Some people just enjoy ruining things for others.
