Martial Arts is serious business, man.
I remember at my Black Belt "camp" (two day test period where I had to test for Black Belt), the master (owner of the TKD centers in my city) held up this XRay paper thingy as high as he could... I jumped up and whacked it with my foot like it was nothing. He went, "hold on a second... let's try this again," so he got a small ladder, then got on his tippy toes and put it as high as he could (over 9 feet, if I recall correctly) and I jumped up and whacked it with my food, pretty easily still. He was amazed.
Many times, in TKD classes, when we had to kick targets people were holding, break boards, kick the punching bags, etc., my instructors were always pushing everyone to do their best. I gave it all I had and went through the board and kocked them clean in the chest and left serious bruises (they quite literally asked me to do so). They said they had never seen someone of my stature have such a powerful kick. They were so impressed, they were talking about it to my parents that night.
Also, many 'a time, when sparring kids my own rank, I wouldn't even realize how hard I was kicking, but I would injure everyone in some way... Black eyes, broken noses, the works. It ALWAYS happened. They kept limiting my potential by making it so I wasn't allowed to use my hands/arms for hitting and I was not allowed to kick to the head (BORING), due to the fact that I would hurt someone. Even when I first started out in sparring, they constantly put me up against black belts... They always pushed me harder and harder, but they didn't treat anyone else that way. I think it was because I'm tall as f'uck.
I remember this one tournament I went to before I was a black belt, I kicked the crap out of the people I went up against. This one guy... I kicked him right in the jaw and his head snapped backward. I thought he was going to fall over, but amazingly... I managed to hold back my strength enough not to knock him out. That saved my ass... Otherwise, I would have been disqualified for excessive force.
When I start back up in Tae Kwon Do, my mom said she wants to do it with me. She and her fiance are going to do it with me, so I'll definitely have to get some pictures and or videos for hilarity.
