Completely disagreeing with this. I am totally incompetent when it comes to computers but I was able to dual boot and install XP with Vista pre-installed as well as Windows 7 (separate laptops).
Following the tutorials (via Google) was extremely easy and setting up the OS selection screen is as easy as downloading a program, and clicking a few buttons. The hard part is finding all sorts of drivers. Took me a whole night of work to gather.
