Downgrading to XP
#10
Jamie_Kurosawa Wrote:2. You'll have to wipe out your hard drive. Dual-booting XP and Vista requires you install XP prior to Vista (if you are attempting a dual-boot). There's actually no getting around this due to the problems with the Windows Boot Loader trying to detect a legacy OS installed after a newer one. Trust me, it's a headache attempting this.

Completely disagreeing with this. I am totally incompetent when it comes to computers but I was able to dual boot and install XP with Vista pre-installed as well as Windows 7 (separate laptops).

Following the tutorials (via Google) was extremely easy and setting up the OS selection screen is as easy as downloading a program, and clicking a few buttons. The hard part is finding all sorts of drivers. Took me a whole night of work to gather.

To satisfy our Maple addictions of course Sad
