But are you sure those people didn't get rolled back to the point just before using the potential scroll as well? I had the same drop with hidden potential rolled back 2 times and on all three reveals winded up with the same potential.

Yes, I found lvl 90 boots that came 3 lines from the floor, not scrolled, and after a roll back they were un-magnified and then they were 2 lines.
