Normally when DS blocks a attack it has the "guard" word animation, but I don't remember seeing that on 1/1, I need to pay closer attention the next time I boss. Also confirmed by other paladins on another thread, DS only blocks physical attacks not magic attacks, I would think 1/1 is a magic or abnormal status attack.
Its a tall order to "confirm" if guardian does indeed helps with 1/1. I would need to max just guardian (i.e. to increase the chances if "blocking" 1/1 and with no DS and Achilli) and then go into a boss like zakum and watch the HP bar of other party members when a 1/1 happens then do a SS. Maybe once I have more points into guardian then it will become apparent.
