The anime will be seen a certain way based on the experience of each individual person but on several levels such an image could be seen as crossing some lines. (depending on what you had seen in the past) But more importantly on at least 1 level, it is nothing inappropriate because she is just eating some food.
I mean that if you cannot see such a scene as simply "an alien girl eating a banana" than you were never really invested in the story to begin with.
