Okay...I believe what Obama meant by this was that anyone making less than the above wouldn't see a type of property, utilities etc etc increase. However, once something like smoking or tanning tax comes, it's automatically a "broken promise"? Makes no fucking sense to me.
A lot of people I know criticize Obama because they can't SEE the change. However, I have seen it. I'm a college student and he expanded Pell Grants! He has done so much more for the middle class than any presidency I have witnessed (can't say anything for Clinton since I was only...what....5 or 6?). And in case people haven't realized, WE'RE OUT OF THE RECESSION (though, I prefer to think of it as we're out of the economic downturn of the recession and we're heading towards profit)! How can one say Obama is a do-nothing president. I just don't see it.
