Had Dim Sum for lunch.

MAH BOI, if you be eating dim sum you need to learn2chopsticks.

Sarah you don't what you're missing. Fried Chinese dough wrapped in the rice noodle is a guilty pleasure.

You guys need to try the rest of dim sum. Missing out on a lot of stuff. Given I'm essentially a mile away from Chinatown and family is Cantonese we always eat dim sum with relatives about every month or so.

Some faves of mine (including the fried dough wrap):


This is Char siew sou, essentially when BBQ pork meets flaky strudel


This is Dou fu fa, very soft tofu usually in a sweet syrup


This is Siu mai, pork dumplings. The stuff on top is fish eggs, which I don't really taste.


This is Lo mai gai, or chicken rice wrapped in a lotus leaf.


This is Jin deui, or sesame balls. It's a dough ball either empty or filled with a filling such as sweet bean paste.


Fried spring rolls are pretty good. One of my faves is ones with shrimp inside.


These are egg tarts, sweet egg custard in a pastry shell. It's something I always try to order at least once per dim sum


I'm sure it's Malay gou, which is essentially a soft egg sponge cake. Done right it's pretty good.
