How can anyone enjoy a 100+ episode shounen anime series?

Nope. I'm not mad. I wish to seek understanding. So I came to the best place to find a common ground!

"Successful" animes tend to have a lot of episodes. I didn't know about naruto and i began to watch it. I watched every episode from 1 to current and read the manga. When your following along with an anime for a period of time you enjoy it better. Dont look at the episode count just watch each episode and be glad you dont have to wait a freaking week to find out what happens!

Anime:*BANG*
You:OMG who got shot? what is going on?!?!
Anime:To be continued.....

This is the only reason I continue to give these shows a shot. But after episode 60 or so, it just devolves into filler or "Protag. team meets Villain Y, who is very very strong" and I just can't keep going.

I dislike Bleach, and Naruto is quite boring the first couple tens of episodes, but One Piece is great.

I'm about 40 episodes in, and it seems pretty good. It's really picked up since that Hawkeye fellow appeared.

Excel Saga; 26 episodes.
Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi; 12 episodes.
GTO; 25-ish, give or take a few, episodes.

Hell yes, series that know how to wrap things up. I remember reading GTO in high school, too. Everyone called it "that weird comic," lol.
