Connecting to another network.

The title states my problem a bit simplistic. The actual situation is that I normally connect to my home network, which is protected with all kind of (in my opinion) useless software, such as child protections and the liking. That has "always" worked well, until somewhere last week, where I dragged my computer to a friend of mine to game. Since his network was acting a little weird, we set up a little shared network with my computer as the host. Result: I can't reconnect with my normal network anymore, yet the shared network can't be killed either. If I disable that connection, it auto-reconnects. Help on how to solve this is appreciated.

EDIT: It suddenly worked. Network magic or a lucky guess, no idea.
