My problem with the new maplestory classes is that there was hardly anything new added to them.
Dual blades still used daggers, which hardly matched their blades due to the daggers taking a circular appearance, they wore thief armor, nothing cool.
Battle mages, and wild hunters wear their respective affinity, as well as mechanics and aran, and Evan.
Seriously, where's the NEW stuff? Why can't a mechanic actually wear futuristic armor instead of pirate armor? I know pirates have the biggest liklihood of becoming mechanics but you'd think they'd have found much more useful equipment after that.
Why couldn't Evans use something other than a staff? All they do is wave it around! It would have looked cooler if he waved some kind of spell book around or something, and the spellbooks could actually have passive abilities that were meant for Evan. Why do arans use pole arms? Are those giant things REALLY the weapons a combo job should use? I mean those things are bigger than the maple sprites, yet your character is doing all kinds of flips and turbo dashing.
I think, that they should add in crimsonwood keeps jobs, instead of these dumb cygnus knights, we should have got the crimson wizards, or the storm casters, if they were going to copy the original 4 explorers, these jobs feel way superior, and how cool would it have been to have a 4th job transformation skill that transforms you into the respective PQ boss? FRIGGEN AWESOME DUAL WIELDING AXE GUY. Plus, this would develop crimsonwood keeps story more and give more reason for new Masteria areas, srs.
I think a new class needs to be an Extra Terrestial, that doesn't follow the laws of magic for any being in maplestory, no dark magic, no regular mana rules, nothing. It'd be awesome to play as an android guy(girl w.e?) that crash lands into victoria with trouble adjusting to the oxygen levels, imagine if it could have super finisher skills...okay I'm starting to reference PSO's SUV blasters, but seriously they could think of SOMETHING. Hey, maybe, make a new job that isn't human? Or an apprentice of Ridley, man...
Personally, I would like a job that uses more than one transformation for different purposes. Kind of like the pirates and albatross, but like, one transformation per job change, equalling up to 4. Like pirates, I think their jobs should branch off into a ranged and melee sub class as well, that'd be something I'd totally play.
