(Of course, Windian cakes wouldn't know about this, considering that they tend to kill the pie boss before he even gets a chance to cast it in the first place. /bitterness)
There's a version that damages you when you move?
Weird, I seemed to get healed while standing still at the cake/pie bosses and damaged when I moved, though I never really paid attention since it barely did any damage anyways. (I'm on the pie team in Windia xP)
