This is why I watch Japanese version of One Piece.

Well, think of it this way:

German Naruto doesn't have any real weapons. They throw like...beam disks at each other and whack each other with sword hilts or some crap.

There's a difference between censoring and just fucking with the episode just so you can say "I did something, where's my paycheck?"

I know I have a folder with more edits somewhere. Stupid crap like text being removed (Stuff that's in plain English. WE CAN'T INTRODUCE OUR CHILDREN TO READING!), colors being swapped (not skin tones, just colors of background buildings or something), "sparkly eyes" being tuned down (TOO MUCH JAPANESE!), or gibberish text being changed into scribbles (what's the point?)

Seriously. I think the editing staff gets paid depending on how many things they edit out, so they just mess around with stupid crap just for money. I'll look for that folder to show you guys the examples I'm talking about.

Yeah, 'Satsuke,' as how i heard the german announcer pronounce his name as, just throws leaves at kakashi. and he falls down.

then they freeze an entire scene where zabuza draws his sword and cuts kakashi.

saw both of those on Utube.

Unless they made a parody of that later, more recently (And in that case, that's the one I saw), it was pretty much intentional.
