Hey guys. I'm a 3rd-gen player, and it's the only generation I've ever played. I plan on getting SS soon since my best friend's getting HG, so I'm trying to construct a team around stuff that can be obtained easily in the DS games, not stuff like Rotom that are event Pokemon and stuff. I chose not to go to Smogon since that forum... kinda confuses me.
So anyways, this is all I have so far for what I feel like getting.
Scyther is there as a nice sweeper. People don't generally expect a Scyther. A lot of friends that I've played that have seen my 3rd Gen team scoff at Scyther, saying that it sucks crap and that Scizor's infinitely better. Well since Scyther's arsenal got much more dangerous in 4th Gen, I thought about keeping it on my team. It looks quite nice. However, what's the deal with Scizor? It seems to sacrifice quite a lot of speed for some more attack and defense. Does Scyther still function well as a sweeper?
Dunno. All I know really is that I want a Scyther as of now. Any suggestions as to what I should add on? :X
